Mr. Ban, since you admit that resolution 1244 is in force please make sure that you and others abide by it.

Seems you are breaking your own law and letting your mates join you.

The only strings I see getting pulled are those of Thaci and co. by Bush, Brown and Merkel with the occasional cameo appearance by Sarkozy.

Is it becoming obvious that legal statehood is not happening? International law will prevail, in spite of Ban and the EU and the USA. The K albs have made no progress in extending their illegal gov. into the enclaves and the north. Their "Defacto" state is dead. How about some music. Berlioz perhaps?

Today, the us and uk ambassadors to the un said that the Kosovo Serbs have no right to vote in the May 11 election. I can't speak about the uk because they had their empire where they prevented peoples of color from voting, but the us has become the largest hypocrite nation in the world. All of my life, I was indoctrinated to believe that america is the beacon of democracy, that america fights to spread democracy; that american soldiers died for my right to vote. Today, we see that the right to vote applies to americans only. Money-power corruption has replaced the american soul. All I can advise the Serbs in Kosovo, the real Kosovors, is to continue to fight for your right to vote. I want to see how the evil american government gets discredited in the eyes of the world when it tries to take away your right to vote.

First of all, and in particular to the Albanians commentators: In English, Kosovo is called Kosovo - not Kosova (so either post your comments in Albanian, or learn proper English). Furthermore, until Kosovo has a FINAL status of being an actual country (which it does NOT as of right now), there is no "Republic of Kosova" - get it?

Secondly, the unilateral declaration of independence is a de facto and absolutely CLEAR violation of Resolution 1244, simple as that (of course, most of you wouldn't know, since you haven't read it). Now, the fact that some countries have recognized the declaration of independence, does not mean that the declaration is a non-violation of existing international law. You see, recognition by individual states does not mean that Kosovo will become the Republic of Kosovo - it requires a little bit more than that.

“It is completely unacceptable that the report does not specify the demands of Serbia or the country's arguments that the new reality is the result of the violation of Resolution 1244. Serbia demands a continuation of UNMIK's mandate in keeping with Resolution 11244…”

Is anyone there in Serbia to remind Serbian president that Serbia never accepted Resolution 1244? Serbia was forced to withdraw its army from Kosovo after NATO intervention not that Serbia wanted to or signed resolution 1244 in Rambue’. Since Serbia now is strong voice to protect Resolution 1244 each they rejected even when Westerns threatened to forcefully apply it. Who can guaranty that Serbia itself can be a strong voice to protect Ahtisari plan for supervise independence for Kosovo when Republic of Kosovo doesn’t want supervision anymore after some time. Does that means that after 5-6 years we will hear the same song again from Serbian President, and then he will say that Republic of Kosovo is violating the Serbs minority rights according to Ahtisari’s plan?
I am pretty sure that time will prove my prediction.

KS,

The Serbian territorial integrity is not self-proclaimed, the illegal Kosovo UDI is. Serbia is a sovereign UN member and its borders are guaranteed by UNSC 1244 for instance. Your colony is not a country so keep dreaming. Except for some European and the US plus some US stooge countries 80% of THE WORLD does not give one single penny about Kosovo or its people. Maybe Tadic will not be able to accomplish too much on this trip, but neither will you terrorist provincial PM Thaci. The longer you will be in this limbo status quo the more frustrated you will become and one day you will go over the edge and then you will see that Serbia will protect its people.

Tadic, requesting the UN (the world) to protect your self-proclaimed "territorial integrity" shows just what you represent --- a territory, not a country. If you can't protect your people do you think it's in the interest of others to protect them for you?
