Who ask a question of course deserve an answer! We are not trying to shut anyone down but we are just responding to the comments which concern the issues discussed here. If we on our comments don’t agree with counterparts it doesn’t mean they should shut up and vs. And of course if anyone point to particular topic it is normal to receive a response from the respective commenter. Actually we are not hiding; we are just here where we have been forever. I think you can guess who is hiding!!!

“Are you Kosovars really thinking the whole world besides Serbia is in favour of independence? Totally wrong. At least 50% in the Netherlands was against, 35 in favour and the rest had no opinion”.

Dear Mr. frans,

The world is in the favor of Kosova independence as much as the Serbs were in favor of sending the Serbian & Slavic Co killing machines in Kosova in 1999. We are equal, aren’t we!!! From the Serbian commentary here is not difficult to understand that you still support the idea that Milosevic was doing the right thing while NATO committee crimes. Godd luck if you find anybody to listen to you.

Well first of all I didn't move from Albania. On the contrary my family was forced to move from Kosova to Albania by the Serbs, our home was burned to the ground. Second even if what you say was the case, I would have more rights to move to Kosova than any Serb who came to the Balkans from the Ural mountains. If you wanna go through history go all the way to the end when there were no Serbs in the Balkans, and do not selectively pick what you like.

That being said, next time a UK tank stops by your home, when UK soldiers burn your home to the ground, and steal your savings even cars, tv's and washing machines. The next time a UK soldiers kills your neighbors just to show you that it is time for you to leave, then you can come here and compare yourself to us.

Till then we will make sure we will enjoy the next 30 years no matter how you like to call them. We certainly do not need your blessings to do that. UK is giving us a hand.

P.S As you yourself state, its better to have a helping hand from the UK, seeing that the alternative is a hitting fist from an impoverished Serbia. You better make sure you work really hard because the UK government needs your tax money to help us build a better future.

I hope one day you as a person will be greatly dependent on someone who hates your guts, not because I have any feelings whatsoever towards you but just so that you can taste a minuscule part of what we went through and to know what it is to live without freedom. There is no better cure for the hypocrisy shown by you and by any of the other posters who claim to love their freedom but who wish ill on our new found freedom and predicate daily about our return to the clutches of SLAVERY called SERBIA.

Should have stayed in Albania then. For your information I am curently living in a country where I am treated as what you claim a 'Slave'. However having a nice red UK passport means they pay me extortionate amounts to accept it, which I am happy to do.

So enjoy the next 3 decades in limbo and financial insecurity on the dusty, dirty streets of Pristina.

interesting to see that all Kosovar readers here always doubt when a foreigner puts his name and critices the situation, against Kosovar independence. Are you Kosovars really thinking the whole world besides Serbia is in favour of independence? Totally wrong. At least 50% in the Netherlands was against, 35 in favour and the rest had no opinion. And that is the same as in many other countries. What governements decide is not always, or better to say never, in line with what the population wants.

Mr. Jones and Clive, with people like you claiming you represent all the Scots I hope and I wish you always remain under England. I wish the same for those who claim to be Irish and are against our freedom. I wish and I hope for any of the peoples in the world who want to be free for themselves but at the same time are against our freedom to always be under the rule of someone else, not because I care what happens with you but just so that you live yourselves that which you wish upon others.
Same goes for the Poles that think like Peter Sudyka who complain against Russia's rule and terror but are against our freedom.
In the meantime God Bless the USA, England, France, Germany, Italy, Kosova and Albania.

Like Mr Jones I was also able to make a few pennies in the Balkans specifically Kosovo. I also agree with his comments albeit they were put a little too robustly but that’s the Scots for you. The real reality is that most Brits could not even tell you where Kosovo is much less even care. What is clear is that the Albanian majority declared UDI against a background of US intimidation and the stupidity of the EU. In any event I too believe that Kosovo will at some time in the future will be ruled in some way by Belgrade – there will be no alternative since it will almost certainly be a failed state once the US, EU and UN withdraw and funds from NGOs and elsewhere are put elsewhere. As for passports I would be interested to know how many Kosovar-Albanians still hold Serbian documents because for sure the UN travel document is not worth the paper it is written on.

Mr. Jones, your statements are too controversial and that is why many people here are doubtful.

“I was employed in SFOR, KFOR and EUFOR as a civillian. I spent 10 years in the region and worked with all ethnicities.”

Sorry to say but during 10 years you have learned very little about Balkan. I hope you know that Serbs and Albanians in many aspects are much different while the British and Scottish people aren’t. Which land was forcefully occupied that you oppose? In Kosova there are only peacemaker and not any occupier!!! The police forces are multiethnic, where is the problem? As a civilian how do u know that the independence was unilateral, what about coordinated! It is the fact in less than 3 months the most powerful countries have recognized it. Give me another example where any new country is recognized in such short time!!!!!

“As for you Adriano I have asked many people in Scotland, not England and they are totally against KosovO independence having received the same treatment from the English in ancient History...Watch Braveheart you may learn some Scottish history”

That is too controversial. Firstly the scenario of England-Scotland is almost like Serbia-Kosova. The Serbs treated Albanians not better than British treated the Scottish people. I think that the Scottish people (like Sean Connery) are pro independence as the Kosovars were times ago. You are telling us that they are for independence of Scotland but not for Kosova!! Give me a reason why?? I have some friends from Edinburgh who used to be students in Germany and they share the same opinions as Albanians. On the other side they accept the fact that without the support of England, Scotland wouldn’t be much important. In Kosova that is not the case because of many reasons such as geographic position, different connection routes, neighborhood country Albania etc.
Secondly, history of Braveheart dates back some hundred years ago while Kosova issue is present now. Moreover, the relations England-Scotland today are not as those presented in Braveheart. Anyway Mr. Jones, despite of the fact that we are talking about Scottland I would doubt that you have only Scottish blood. While “mickey mouse” UNMIK passport will be inexistent after a couple of months, you will be forever a citizen of UK (not Scotland). Have a nice day!

Jeremic has been very successful in his round-the-world trip of convincing countries not to recognise Kosovo's independence, but it still cannot conceal the fact that most of the countries that matter (the US and most EU countries, including the most powerful) have all shown strong support for an independent Kosovo. Surely the Pristina government will never give in to Serbia with that kind of support, and surely the West is unlikely to renege on their backing. Isn't it far more likely that the trend will be for ever more countries to recognise Kosovo, even if this only happens over time? Isn't Kosovo's independence an accomplished fact that Serbia (even with her ally Russia) is far too weak to do revoke?

To MR. DAVID J. JONES Scotland:
