I am not asking DSS to admit to anything. I'm asking you whether its acceptable to support a party that changes its principles. In other words would you continue supporting DSS on Kosovo if they formed a government with DS?

So, don't you think its time for them to rule it out, or are you prepared to accept DS position on Kosovo. The position that you can't stop criticising? I don't understand the sudden philosophical view of politics and the Kosovo issue. I thought it was a vital matter of state importance.

The rush to sign the SAA is an attempt to gain some extra votes. Did you think I would lie about it, or say thats politics?

DSS are surely to form a coalition with SRS but nothing is certain. Why should they admit to anything? Let each party get its votes and work things out after the elections.

Now, I am repeating here my own opinion. If that is the same as the DSS then we have something in common. The fact that we do is the reason I support them. Again, I am only repeating my opinion.

Now tell me, why the rush to get the SAA signed before the elections?

ZK that may be politics but you don't have to act like a pawn and agree with everything DSS does on this issue.

You have made it clear on so many occasions that you think DS will sell Kosovo. That echos the DSS position. Doing a deal now with DS will make DSS look completely without principle. It will also make you look that way if your only response is 'thats politics'.

Well if 'thats politics' then losing Kosovo is 'thats politics' too right? If you truly think that DS policies are designed to trade or lose Kosovo it would be an awful thing to condone a coalition with them. If on the other hand you never believed the rhetoric you were posting about DS then why the propaganda lies in the first place?

Basically the DSS are exploiting the face that Serbia has a unicameral parliamentary system. Kostunica denies he's done a deal with the SRS (or anyone)? No kidding! Why would he - he's waiting to see which side will capitulate after the elections and, once again, hand power over to the DSS.

There is almost nothing more certain than that Kostunica will re-assume the post of Prime Minister after the election. I have witnessed first-hand the success with which his chief adviser (Simic) has been able to manipulate a number of different Ambassadors who are currently serving in Serbia, and I don't think it unfair to say that manipulation is the only strength of the DSS. I would challenge any of their supporters to give a single example of where Kostunica has succeeded, by any other measure, as Prime Minister. I don't even mean the big-ticket issues like Montenegro (fail) and Kosovo (fail) - how about the economy, the environment - even the visa regime?

I am not a Serbian citizen, but if I were I think I would abstain from voting. In assessing the situation thus, I feel sorry for the people of Serbia, the vast majority of whom I regard with great respect. It is unfortunate, but there are simply no capable or worthy political leaders in your country, and it is costing you all dearly.

bganon, I disagree. DSS are taking the correct approach so all DSS supporters vote for them.

A coalition of partners can be discussed after the elections based on the best offer.

That's politics.

Its time for DSS to say where they stand.

Its not fair to voters to play this game before elections and then only afterward decide who to go with. The shambolic about turn election of the speaker of parliament is still fresh in the mind.

DSS wants to make a coalition with the radicals - fine, then let them make this clear to citizens that this is the case.
