"very soon" means never (outside of virtual indiependencies, in the real world)!

it´s quite simple, you can just enter, if you are a real state or (and AT LEAST) if all of the eu- and nato-members see you as such.

but keep it cool, our serbian friends of albanian origin needed also a few weeks to realize that they will never get un-member.

but i like their wisdom, they can´t even get uefa-member, but hey eu and nato? no problem for that!

but what a world we live in? western money fuels russian and chinese state funds, that brotherly buy up western economy, russia decides nato-membership (georgia, ukraine, "kosovo") and yankees are dieing in afghanistan for securing russias south-east flank.

oh boy, eternal thanks for clinton and bush!

Peter,

I cannot tell you how soon “very soon” is however it will definitely be sooner than you predict.

As soon as the transition process is completed investments will increased exponentially.
Kosovo has the needed natural resources, requested man power and the necessary capacity to go fast forward.
Also (something that you as Polish know from Polish experience) Kosovo has (and will increase) high investment levels from Kosovo Albanians living and working abroad.

I would definitely recommend you to visit Kosovo and see this yourself.

Peter, Kosovo is only 64 Days old.
Judge us and review your predictions in few years.

Mr. Sudyka, you are wrong.
Kosova is tightly coupled with the region it belongs to. Your "mathematical" calculation is not very applicable here. If, let's say Serbia, Macedonia, Albania are in EU in 10 years, what do you think is going to happen to Kosova? Are you suggesting it will be left alone to breed its own kind of "capitalism"? Sejdiu is a propagandist like any politician, but there is a truth in what he says.

Hmmm, how soon is "very soon"? Kosovo is ranked 151st in the world in terms of GDP, out of 203 countries (193 recognized, 10 unrecognized), it really must work very hard to reach the levels required, I fear the term "very soon" implies that definitely not in his lifetime, though still perhaps in Thaci's time, possibly.
