It's rather strange that Gazprom being aware that in May there will be no problems with the ratification still insists on urgent legalisation of the NIS share contract ! Moreover they sent to Belgrad S.Shoigu the Emergency Minister ! The only explanation I can find now is that there are some urgent plans for prolongation of the pipe which cannot be realised before Serbian Parliament approves the deal.
All the talks that Russia has used the Serbian problems in the favour of Gazprom are very primitive. Putin values too much the support of the nation to make such a trick. Putin is the most erudited and influential leader of Europe who always keeps his word. The last thing to come to his mind will be to cheat someone to say nothing of deceiving the most friendly to us nation in the whole Europe.
