There's a song by Ken Hensley "Proud Words On A Dusty Shelf" ...

This is a drastic change in Tadic's approach to EU integration. Still we have to assume the idea itself is good. The only problem may be that it's too late cause as far as I can judge Tadic can no longer enjoy the votes of the Serbs.

The guy is joke. He was a joke from day one. First of all, I wouldn’t take seriously any statesman who poses more like a model than anything else. I mean come on dude – get a grip on reality. If by preserving integrity you suggest keeping Kosovo – this only adds to the already sickly irrational political havoc in Serbia! The game of Kosovo is over – try to integrate Serbia into the EU for pits sake – you all know nothing will ever come out of the Kosovo political endless show talk – is only talk to wash your hands and avoid people from the real issues in Serbia.

Tadic the time is now to tell your EU 'friends' not when your mandate ends!!! If you cant do that now then be at least honest and step down now!

I agree with your insights on Tadic's word game. They say exactly what you mentioned. Tadic, eventhough not honest with the fact that he is for letting go of Kosova, he is insightful in other ways.
He understands that signing SAA makes Serbia's claims to Kosova impossible. However, one day he might be regarded as a serb hero especially for those who want access to EU countries, those who want economic growth, and those who regard themselves as Europeans and not Eastern proponents.
What makes me wonder though is what strategy has Tadic to deal with the fact that formaly he will be remembered as the one who allowed for Serbia to officially recognize Koso's independence.
The road ahead is a rocky one for Serbia. It can only get better for Kosova. It can get better for Serbia as well if Tadic's view became more popular and if radicals got weaker.
One way or another, Tadic eventhough not the most popular will be remembered by most serbs as a pro-European leader who made possible for Serbia to enter EU.

If this was the case then why doesn't Tadic tell his EU 'friends' like Rehn and Solano that Serbia as a WHOLE can sign the SAA today!

The telling words of Tadic show through;
"“If, at the end of my presidential mandate, I’m forced into choosing between a European future and the country’s integrity, I’ll choose the country’s integrity,” said Tadić in an interview with Belgrade daily Standard.

However, he added that no such condition had as yet been set. "

- no condition YET! But this then implies he knows it will come and expects it so why wait for it come on Tadic uphold Serbia's Sovereignity now this is the highest priority of any President! Its clear that DS want to put this off in the hope that Serbs will be bought off but I truly hope teh electorate put in the greatest vote possible that Serbia as a whole remains now and always and no EU conditions will ever be acceptable now or when Tadic will end his mandate!

So Tadic would prefer to protect Serbia's integrity before integration.

With the path he is following, he wont even have a chance. The very people urging him to integrate are the ones attempting to take Kosovo away. These are the people who organised the EU mission approved one day after being sworn in as president. The ones who's countries have recognised Kosovo and are doing all they can to push it through.

Sorry Tadic, but as they say, "Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me!"

seems like he´s realizing that he´s loosing grip.

no, you won´t be in that position anymore to display some kind of fake moral and integrity.

as often said: there´s no need for Serbia to join the EU, but the EU needs Serbia.

that´s a fact, many here still do not realize.

they will.

Is this annoumcement for new crisis in Vojvodina and Sandzak?! If not, on which integrity is talking Tadic?! He is so undetermined...
