Princip it could equally be said that you underestimate the integrity of Nikolic. If he is by far the senior partner and is chosen by the people and if this election is truly all about Kosovo then surely Nikolic should be Prime Minister.

It has been shown time and again that Kosovo Serbs support Nikolic not Kostunica. Let them have Nikolic then - if this election is all about them.

In this context I am talking purely about Kosovo - notwithstanding my views on other issues such as the economy and living standards.

To be honest with you I'm not at all sure that Nikolic is happy with Seselj's advice. I understand why Seselj thinks this way. If / when it goes wrong then Kostunica can be blamed. But petty politics of this kind should be put aside.

1. I don't think you have ever been in Belarus. Otherwise you would not hint that badly. Yes they have a strange man at their head but they like him with no questions asked. Lukashenko still enjoys the support of some 70% of the people and the West sponsored opposition is supported only by 10% of the population. By the way one of these days Minsk has declared massive privatisation so there's progress even in this sphere.

2. Serbia is not going to be like Belorussia as to the democracy. Serbia is one of the most democratic countries in the whole world. All because the Serbian elite is not united like in most of the states. Democracy is a hypocrit system to work only at the split of the elite or in such states like Switzerland where they have referendums every month.

3. If united SRS fnd DSS can really lead Serbia from the crisis. They will for sure enjoy much bigger support of Russia which can alone provide economic prosperity of Serbia.

Bganon,

I think you severly underestimate the integrity of Kostunica.

As for the new government and who heads it that is all speculation - I for one want the Serbian electorate to ensure a resounding democratic voice that Serbia as a whole is and will always be.

Kosovo is Serbia, Serbia is Kosovo should shrill loud and clear all the way to Brussels and Washington who ever is the new PM after the May elections!

I actually feel a bit sorry for Nikolic on this.

If Seselj and Kostunica have decided that Kostunica should be PM - as a result of votes for Nikolic / SRS, it makes me wonder about democracy.

Say what you like about SRS but Nikolic deserves credit for SRS performance in recent years - not Seselj or Kostunica.

That is why if SRS / DSS are elected Nikolic should be PM. I believe this genuinely.

How kind of you to compare Belarus with Serbia. It has a very healthy economic growth rate, far exceeding that of your country Albania.

There is absolutely no chance Serbia will be isolated unless the US/EU is intending to bring the whole region down.
