I realise that there are many people that believed in Milosevic and now believe in Nikolic much like a matter of faith, but that does not have any basis in political philosophy. Its based more on cult of personality / collectivism and the need to follow somebody in the absence of individual identity.

That is why the less educated have a tendency to support Nikolic today and SPS in previous years.

Its a pity more Nikolic supporters haven't decided to explain this outburst.

i'm not sure about fearing god, but i am positive about fearing the radicals! i have bosnian and albanian frnds that say, at least 1/2 seriously, "let the radicals win, at least they are honest about their goals." i do not agree with this philosophy, because i do NOT think they're honest, about their goals or certainly about their past. whatever the reasons that people vote for them (less education, populism), once given the opportunity they could be very dangerous indeed. people make fun of nikolic and rationalize his support, just like with that man with the funny moustache just a couple of generations ago.
