"If Serbia goes ahead and holds local elections in Kosovo, it will be a violation of UN Security Council Resolution 1244 and UNMIK’s executive mandate"

Yada, yada, yada, ....

There are many things in this world that is considered illegal and in violation of this and that. The important question that everyone has to ask one self is:

What will happen if I break a law, what will happen if I do something illegal?

If 200 Serbs starts organizing elections in Kosovo, printing and distribution election registration cards, setting up voting stations, and on May 11 allow their neighbours to come to the voting station and deliver their votes - what will UNMIK do?

Will they start arresting the Serbs? Burn the voting stations? Shoot at men and women coming to vote? WHAT WILL THEY DO?

I say go ahead with the voting Serbs. UNMIK will talk, but they will (I hope) do nothing on the ground.

Kosovars - what do you think your government and UNMIK should do in the face of elections being set up inside Kosovo?
