Thank you, Hagen

I have had an unofficial copy of the SAA in Finnish for some weeks. But thank you Hagen anyway, as now I can see that my copy is identical with (at least) the English language version.

So, big question remains of what SRS means by their demands to DS to publish the SAA paper...

What is clear to me is that signing the SAA today means something else than had it happened before the UDI of Kosovo and before the recognition of Kosovo independence by the majority of EU member states.

The fact alone that Serbia considers Kosovo being a part of itself while EU majority has an absolutely opposite stand alters the reading of the SAA.
And therefore the new situation alters the content of pre-Kosovo-recognition-SAA, although the text remains the same.

Shall we have an easy example:

"ARTICLE 6
Serbia commits itself to continue to foster cooperation and good neighbourly relations with the
other countries of the region including an appropriate level of mutual concessions concerning the
movement of persons, goods, capital... [and so on]."

EU majority reads Kosovo being among "the other countries of the region" while Serbia doesn't.

Therefore an immediate conflict. It makes no sense to sign agreements that inflame discord the first hour after signatures.

OK, so I don't know what the Government gave Parliament, but if YOU want to read the SAA, go to the source (available there since January):
http://register.consilium.europa.eu/pdf/en/07/st16/st16005.en07.pdf

It's of course available in all official EU languages, e.g. Slovenian:
http://register.consilium.europa.eu/pdf/sl/07/st16/st16005.sl07.pdf
and Bulgarian:
http://register.consilium.europa.eu/pdf/bg/07/st16/st16005.bg07.pdf
For the Serbian version you might want to ask the Serb Foreign Ministry...

Have fun reading!

SRS: “If that agreement is so good, and if it guarantees the preservation of Kosovo in Serbia, why don’t they (the Democrat Party and Tadić) publish it?

Doesn't SRS know the content of the SAA?!!! If not, how come?!!!

Does this mean the government has not supplied all members of parliament copies of the SAA? This can't be true...
What kind of model of democratic governance has been created in Serbia? My God! Government answers of its plans and doings to the parliament, government is responsible to the parliament, including the opposition. SRS suggests that government is hiding documents of national interest!
I mean, this can't be true. Or is it?

Most of the Russian politicians avoid speculations over the Serbian election campaign. But it's evident they are eager to know which force is going to be our partner here for the years to come. When asked why don't we rend the Serbs more sufficient support FM S.Lavrov said "We cannot be more Serbian that the Serbs themselves" which ment in the context that the Serbs have to choose their main root first. You know the Serbian and the Russian eagles look both East and West ...

As for the Russian Mass Media they are not so diplomatic and in general express their sympathy to T.Nikolic and lately also to V.Kostunica.

Every step of the West is evaluated as a merely hidden support for Mr.Tadic. For instance the visit of S.Brammerz to Serbia is supposed to emphasize that Mr.Tadic is not so Atlantic mindes as late Jinjic used to be. Therefore the Haague Prosecutor is expected to demand to give up R.Karadjic, General R.Mladic, G.Hadjic and S.Juplanin to let Mr.Tadic reject the demand and thus demostrate his patriotism and to gain additional votes.

The Russian Mass Media also stress that EU has got only one carrot to attract the Serbs but the risks that the list of new demands will not appear after the elections are over is estimated as very high. Also there are no guarantees that the integration process a will be short and that no group of states will block it in the end.

Hope it was of your interest!
