You are just giving your wishes and totally ignoring main points in this article.

He is saying that is wrong and everybody normal and intelligent should get it from his views on this shamefull forced UDI.

Just I am surprised that you didn't say that this guy is on Russia, Serbia payroll because he is saying what most people commenting on this site know and repeating for months.
Just your comment on pure logic he's talking about?

"After election it is the time for second wave of recognition." (Maks)

"My prediction on recognition big time will come right after the Kosova Constitution takes effect on June 15 2008." (Ahmet Isufi)

Sorry folks, but I do not believe that further "waves" of recognition are going to happen after either of these dates or any time at all. From now on all you can expect are a few stragglers and maybe in a year's time some 45 countries will have recognised. The countries of Africa, Asia and South America are just not interested.

This is what you are facing and sooner or later you will realise this. The question is what are you going to do then? You should be thinking about that. The Serbian offer to you was as good as you'll ever get, and as far as I know it's still on the table. Now that the euphoria of the UDI is wearing off, it's time for you to engage with the real world.

Thank you Czech Republic for actually listening to your citizens instead of political forces. That is what a true democracy is all about.

Sad but true...
I can remember very well how many things in the past we had to swallow in Italy because for France & Germany were priorities but we were Net receivers and our politician always repeat "they pay.. we have..sometimes we must say yes also if we think no " So the same for you this time..
Anyway you are one of my favourite country and in the last 10 years i see more benefits in your Eu story so take a digestive and ...

A bit sad description of EU Luigi. Big does not mean always truthfull (remeber Munich 1938 and big mistake of F, GB and your duce). People here feel the recognition as unjustice and repetition of hitorical mistake. This point of view will remain even if Czech government will "respect reality" which I deeply hope will not.

I don't understand all this problems about recognition (yes,no..maybe)..
It's plain simple..
The mayority of EU countries have recognized plus the main 4 have done it quickly so the other will follow ..because you guess also in Europe not all the states are the same there are some countries that have a different weight..(obviously are the countries that give the money)
Actually the countries that haven't recognized Kosovo are net receivers of money from the others ...so..
if they want to stay in the club , they will recognize...
The problem for Kosovo is at the opposite that in the world their indipendence hasn't been loved so much and they are with a small number of recognitions...
The situation is in my opinion this one : EU AND NATO will support Kosovo but Kosovars will be a second class citizen for at least 10 years

It is hard to say wheather or not our government will recognize or not finally, as I wrote they want to be EU conform but majority of people here continues feeeling that recognition would be huge mistake. There are not large but continuous demonstrations each Friday in Prague on Serb's support. Oposition now things about special law forbiding the government to recognise Kosovo's unilateral declaration of independency. Green party (member of governing coalition and most pro EU party) adopted internal rule on weekend preventing its ministers (including the foreign affairs minister)from support of recognition now. Czechs are with Serbs. I would sign Mr. Dienstbier's words, Serbia has friends in EU, however it is hard today, please our friends vote parties which support Serbian EU membership and not leaders who chose isolation. Times of proud and relatively open Jugoslavija were much more charming and favourable for Serbs and Europe than times of Milosevic's psychology of encircled country.

My prediction on recognition big time will come right after the Kosova Constitution takes effect on June 15 2008. You will see countries from Africa, Latin America, Asia and Arabain countries.Mark my word by June 30 2008, we will have over 100 countries with recognitions.

But he added that his position on the issue is that Kosovo is a "gross mistake" of the international community.

"The EU and NATO neither thought it through, nor carried it out well," Nečas said of the secession proclamation.

Yesterday, Czech diplomat and former UN special rapporteur for human rights Jiri Dienstbier said that "Serbs are not alone in Europe".

"Serbs can rely on a high degree of solidarity, regardless of the defeatism or the indifference of most governments," Dienstbier added.

He was also quoted a saying that "it is not Serbia that is in isolation, but rather Kosovo is a pseudo state".

Those are very strong words of support from our Czech friends and brothers. All of Serbia thanks you for your support!! We will not forget.

Cheers!

This is not news! This is known for months now. No country will continue with Kosovo Independence Recognition until election in Serbia is over. Not because the outcome of those elections will change anything but it is known that international community doesn’t want to interfere or effect those elections. So, it is about Serbia and not Kosovo.
After election it is the time for second wave of recognition.
If anybody recalls the Serbian presidential election, there were rumors then that if Tadic wins then Kosovo will not be allowed to proclaim independence. And if Nikolic wins everyone will recognize Kosovo independence. Actually the decision for Kosovo status has nothing to do with Serbian President. It was time of maturity and Kosovo would be independent who ever wins in neighbor country of Serbia.
Now it is very clear that Kosovo independence had nothing to do with Serbian election, however international community is very careful to not do any move toward Kosovo until elections are over. None of them condition their decision based on election outcome. I think this is very clear for every normal mind.
Serbian parliamentarian election outcome will not have any effect on Kosovo’s road to build its own way toward EU.
My friends don’t be confused on election time and election outcome. Serbia and Kosovo has been separate entity and now even more will have nothing to do with each-other.
