Renew talks with Serbia? This is the best joke of the day. Of course we will talk to Serbia - always - at all times -but as neighbour to neighbour - when Serbia GETS REAL about the chances of getting Kosovo under their control.

Russia wants talks. Well I want to turn asian. It simply ain't happening.

Another thing that the Russians know very well, is that they are not the only ones with a veto in their pocket. It is very easy for the US, UK and France to veto anything that Russia proposes just like the Russians did before. The Russians of course know this, however they have to talk the talk until the pipeline and the money coming from it is a reality. They soften their attitude now, those politicians in Belgrade that are not getting their cut out of the pipeline will stir trouble. By the way rest assured Kostunica is taking his cut from the pipeline.

"When is "too late"? and what will happen? All Serbs with albanian ethnicity in Kosovo need to understand that YOU ARE NOT IN CONTROL. Others are fighting this for you, you're being told nothing but blatant lies. How do you guys not get tired of this?

The questions you should ask is: Is Serbia in control? The answer is no? Is Serbia fighting for itself? The answer to that is no. Why you might ask? Because if Russia wasn't doing Serbia's fight Kosovo would already be a UN member. You are being told nothing but blatant lies. How do you not get tired of this?
That's what all Kosovar's with Serbian ethnicity should ask.

last time it was "too late" when Serbia proved to block any solution by negotions on Kosovo. logical result: Februar 17th

how did Serbian government react on time? it imploded within one month. until elections it is to late to negotiate anything.

in the meantime draft for constitution of Kosovo is on the table. it will bring next wave of recognitions - like Czech and Slovak Republic, probably even Spain.

Serbia must hurry to get a new government up on feet until June 15th. that's next date. mmmhh... Serbian parlament will have no holidays this summer, if it does not like to be late.

might be a frustrating time then. before summer session most of the governments will consider once again recognition. they will see: Kosovo has a plan, Serbia is too late.

Jovan,

I still find it very amusing to read comments written by Albanians, but signed with english-sounding names... like John K. LOL

I don’t see your point. Do you think there are no individuals named John in Kosovo? I know at least 15 of them currently living in my town.

I serf this site many times, I understand the conflict between Serbs and Kosovar Albanian, but I don’t think Albanians are the ones who have to “get real”. Quite the contrary, Serbia has to realize that Kosovo is independent and for God’s sake recognize it before it is too late.

in fact, my dear albanian friends... get real. but you will have to do so, sooner or later... until then, just enjoy your "independence" :)
(Jovan, 10 April 2008 20:40)

thanks! you better speed up for to have a government for such talks, our dearest Serbian friend. how should we know what Serbia really wants after May 11th - and what it has to offer in talks?

Mr. Titov the Kosovars have allready chosen their way. There can not be negotiation about the status becaouse after the 17'th february the status is allredy settled. There is no turning back becouse Kosovo is not Serbia.

There can allways be negotiation but for diffrent things like economic or the rights of minoritets.

Only Russia and Serbia is trying to go back in time. It's not possible and what you call ''plans for kosovo'' won't work. Only the Kosovo citizens can make plan for their future and Serbia and Russia has nothing to do with kosova. They don't live there and they don't rule there. It is the land of kosovors and Kosovars only.

Hey Miri

Do actually believe that Vladimir Titov was going to announce every country that doesn't recognize Kosovo's ILLEGAL UDI while giving a speech. That would take forever. It is easier to remeber the countries that have recognized since there are so few. GET REAL!
