"By leading to the foundation of a definitive political partitioning of Kosovo, we may very well see a split in the EU between the hardliners like Feith and Ruecker who are still delusional that Kosovo Province is a unitary political entity, and those pragmatists that realize that Kosovo is, and was, divided from Day One after February 17, and may opt for a more negotiated solution between Pristina and Mitrovica. "

The negotiated solution between Mitrovica and Prishtina will only occur after Belgrade recognizes Kosova's independence. When that happens things will quiet down. If that doesn't happen, the Serbs in north Mitrovica will continue being a Hong-Kong inside a Hong-Kong. Which will suck more for them than for us Albanians.

Serbian elections would be more valid in the Hague then in Kosovo, since there is a larger minority of serbs residing in the Hague's detention facilities then in Kosovo.

Serbs can vote in Serbian elections from America. They can also vote from England at 4 designated voting places around the country. However they can't vote from Kosovo, which is their own country.

Is that the whole unique case again?
This is just getting laugable by day. I don't think those clowns in EU have any credibility left, and the little they fooled others into believing they had is long gone. And Ruecker is their queen.

Kosovo is Serbia, therefore Serbs in Kosovo have right to vote and Ruecker can go peddle his dictatorial pronouncements elsewhere.
"People power" is telling Ruecker that Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija can vote in Serbia's elections. Isn't that what all this is about ? Ruecker? "people power". You guys created it, "people power", no more laws, now live with it. AND by the way Ruecker, tell your mates, its just going to get worse!

Ruecker et al can say whatever they like. The facts on the ground however are unavoidable:

1. Elections will be held in the Serb sectors of Kosovo irregardless of what anyone else protests. If the elections are banned, they'll be held anyway. If the elections are allowed but then invalidated, Ruecker and others risk a potential riot.

2. K-Serbs will vote en masse for the SRS. This may or may not translate into national votes, but it almost will certainly solidify northern Kosovo into an SRS stronghold. It will make life doubly hard for Ruecker, Sipahi Feith and Thaci to attempt to extern sovereign control over the Serb enclaves.

3. The May 11 vote may very well lead to the definitive political partitioning of Kosovo. Again, without the use of enforced coercion, there's not a damn thing anyone can do to stop this.

4. By leading to the foundation of a definitive political partitioning of Kosovo, we may very well see a split in the EU between the hardliners like Feith and Ruecker who are still delusional that Kosovo Province is a unitary political entity, and those pragmatists that realize that Kosovo is, and was, divided from Day One after February 17, and may opt for a more negotiated solution between Pristina and Mitrovica.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: full sovereignty over Kosovo cannot and will not be enforced unless force itself is used. But once force is used, all pretenses of Kosovo being stable, multiethnic, and democratic go right out the window.

There are many things that Ruecker didn't know, or learned about from God knows where or how. That would be very disturbing and one tends to question at least his whereabouts. I personally tend to believe that he belongs to those cute, white, fluffy polar bears inhabitting Sar-Planina. Go easy on him, please you Serbs, it was a long sleep, and he must be so, so confused.

Clearly the solution is for Ruecker to organize the Serbian elections in Kosovo. Then everything would be in line with 1244. The UN's position is pretty clearly that Kosovo is part of Serbia. The Albanian population of Kosovo should help contribute to the future of Serbia's direction. Had they pursued a democractic approach in the past Milosevic would have been voted out of power more quickly and we could have avoided the bloodshed that occured there.

“Miri and Liri (are you twins or what?)”

Isn’t this a meaningless question? I am a proud Kosovo Albanian and a Canadian citizen and I am happy that my home country, Kosovo, is granting to Serbians something that we are granted here.

“I am sure that all Kosovo Serbs have no interest whatsover in a dual citizenship and maybe according to the Serbian constitution that is not even allowed (in many EU countries this is the case).”

I am not so sure about that. Serbs in Kosovo are a part of the government, a part of the Kosovo police and The Protection Corps of Kosovo. Their will is suppressed by Serbian politicians because of coming elections in Serbia, but they are going to be free to chose which way to go very soon.

“I will make sure to vote for a political party that will be against Kosovo ever becoming an EU member unless it is an autonomous province of the Republic of Serbia, a sovereign country that is an UN member and that hopefully will be wise to stay out of the colonial EU unless they are treated with respect and as an equal partner (which seems unlikely).”

The European mission has a clear commitment to not go away from Kosovo unless it becomes a part of EU. Any way you are free to your vote and I appreciate that.

Miri and Liri (are you twins or what?),

I am just a visitor of this Serbian website posting my pro-Serbian/anti-Albanian opinions (that is called freedom of speech in a democracy). Unlike your friend Rucker I have no political power or influence and so I cannot stick my nose into the internal affairs of the Province of Kosovo. Even though my corrupt government has recognized your illegal NATO/EU colony does not mean that I have (and that will not change anything as I know). That also means that I can consider Kosovo as a part of Serbia and can call the elections a Serbian internal affair that people like Rucker should be quiet about if nobody asks them to comment. I am sure that all Kosovo Serbs have no interest whatsover in a dual citizenship and maybe according to the Serbian constitution that is not even allowed (in many EU countries this is the case). I will make sure to vote for a political party that will be against Kosovo ever becoming an EU member unless it is an autonomous province of the Republic of Serbia, a sovereign country that is an UN member and that hopefully will be wise to stay out of the colonial EU unless they are treated with respect and as an equal partner (which seems unlikely).

The UN Kosovo mission, UNMIK, chief said that "only UNMIK can hold elections in Kosovo and all other elections will not have any kind of value,” Ruecker said.

So....how come the Albaninas of Kosovo were able to declare UDI? Surely this "vote" should have been arrnaged by the UN - as per resolution 1244?

The Kosovo Constitution (A supreme law of Kosovo) recognizes The Kosovo Serbs dual citizenship, so they can vote for the central elections of Serbia, but not for the local institutions of Kosovo. The local elections are not going to be valid in Kosovo and that means that any organs coming out from those "elections" are never going to function in Kosovo.
(Liri, 10 April 2008 19:02)

But Liri....there is no such thing as the Kosovo constitution....it is declared null and void by the Serbian government - Kosovo is part of Serbia and will be governed by the Serbian constitution.

The Kosovo Serbs dual citizenship (Liri)

Dual citizenship? Serbs only have one citizenship - the proud Serbian citizenship!

Is the Kosovo government issuing dual citizenships as a way of securing dual citizenships for Albanians? So that they can travel freely around the world and not have to use the worthless Kosovo passport that is only recognised by 36 out of 192 countries?

"The UN Kosovo mission, UNMIK, chief said that "only UNMIK can hold elections in Kosovo and all other elections will not have any kind of value,” Ruecker said."

Rucker, shut up. If it have value to Serbs and Kosovo Serbs it has value. So these things only have value if you say so? Just because the Kosovo Albanians declared an illegal UDI does not mean that UNSC 1244 is no longer effective.

"In an interview for an Albanian-language BBC program, he said that, as before, while the UN mission will not organize the Serbian parliamentary vote, it will not stop it from being held in Kosovo either."

Ah, that is the reason. Since they do not want (or cannot) stop it it will be held and so it will have validity to Serbia.

"Ruecker confirmed that he talked to Serbian officials last week, because he "found out through the media" that Serbia was planning to organize voting in Kosovo for the parliamentary and local elections."

Though the media, right.

"“I asked the if it was true, and I told them that if it was, it presents a violation of Resolution 1244 and UNMIK’s mandate, which is unacceptable,” the German diplomat said, adding that he received confirmation that Serbia was planning to hold elections in Kosovo."

The UDI is also a violation of UNSC 1244, but for some reason that does not seem to bother him too much.

"He said that this letter from Serbia stated that “it respects the mandate of UNMIK in some way.”"

That is much more than any respect the other way around.

"“I will answer when I hold consultations with all the sides that have an interest in this issue,” Ruecker said."

So one will have to wait until after May 11.

"“I will repeat that only UNMIK can organize elections on the territory of Kosovo,” Ruecker said."

The Serbian Province of Kosovo.

"“I will also state clearly that if Serbia tries to organize local elections, they will not be valid,” he concluded."

Valid to whom? These are Serbian elections and so the are supposed to have only validity to Serbs and Serbia. Keep you nose out of Serbian internal affairs.

Serbs can vote in Serbian elections from America. They can also vote from England at 4 designated voting places around the country. However they can't vote from Kosovo, which is their own country.

Is that the whole unique case again?
