Maybe Mr. Nice isn't aware of this fact, but Božidar Delić did testify in the Milošević trial -- he was on the witness stand for 19 days in the summer of 2005. The Prosecution was free to ask any questions they wanted, althogh as I recall Delić's testimony was a real embarassment for the prosecution. What stands out in my memory is the way Delić proved that Paddy Ashdown had purjured himself when he testified against Milosevic earlier in the trial.

When the Americans began their war against Yugoslavia (sometime in the mid 1980s) they put some of their best CIA operatives on the case.

Now Yugoslavia is no more, these operatives have moved on; some to promote the US missile shield aimed at Moscow, others to sabotage the Beijing Olympics.

The CIA people left on the “Yugoslav Operations” are low calibre people from some backwater like Little Rock, Arkansas. For these numskulls “Milosevic,” ^Haradinaj,” “Kosovo/a,” “KLA/UCK” is all very confusing and who the hell cares if they screw-up.

Ok my apologies its obvious that Del Ponte has been pro-serb from the beginning... (groan)

The problem wasn't that Del Ponte was anti Albanian, the problem was the opposite that she wasn't willing to charge as many warlords as she should have. But she was leaned on to ensure she did not.

I certainly give Kosovo Albanians a fair hearing but this victim stuff is going too far. Move on, be thankful Del Ponte can't block your European path!

Still, as we know in Serbia, its useful to have hate figures for political reasons. And people just love to join in!

Anti-Albanian? Are you saying she's not because first she claimed KLA kidnapped Serbs and sold their organs with no facts or proof, and now we learned she wanted to drop charges when the whole world was trying to prosecute milosevic.

Who knows what she'll say in next weeks edition.

So Nice goes running to the Kosovo media to portray Del Ponte as some kind of anti Kosovo Albanian.

Interesting. It seems to me that the intelligence services of some countries are involved in this game. I'll let others work out what I mean.
