This is what happens when small, irrelevant countries try to be important. Why would any Middle Eastern or Asian country attack Bulgaria?
Bulgaria is not France, UK or Denmark to fear the terrorist or other attacks from militant Muslims due to its foreign policy and high Middle Eastern immigration.
The only time any sort of attack would happen on Bulgaria is if Bulgaria held US anti missile shield on its territory.

It looks like the Yanks have some very, very willing and obedient lap dogs in the Balkans. Nothing much changes, history just seems to repeat itself.

The Bulgarians have been siding with the wrong people throughout all of their history. When the Balkan wars were going, the Bulgars were doing a general ethnic cleansing of Macedonia (cleansing Serbs and Hellenes), then they sided with Austrohungaria during WWI, acting like brave warriors expelling people from their homeland. After that, they became fascists, not directly slaughtering jews, but sending them to concentration camps at Germanys command, and now they're sucking up to the Yanks. And on top of all of that, they act like they can make decisions.

Good for Bulgaria, the US can build it on their territory and leave Poland out of their funny war games against Russia. While you are at it, take the radar base as well and spare the Czechs of their burden as well, since they too as as much against it as we are. It's bad enough that our governments do not care for what we want politically, we have to be endangered as well.

The headline was supposed to read,

"Bulgarian Politicians want lots of money from US to stash away in Swiss bank".

Typically of Bulgarians is all that can be said. Too bad the South Stream pipeline has to go through Bulgaria instead of Romania.

Let's hope the geographic knowledge among the extremist Muslims is as good as yours BKK.

That's not very good history. Moreover, it's neither fair nor decent to generalize about a whole nation. And what you wrote is definitely not fair about Bulgarians in general.

In fact, Bulgaria's role in the Holocaust is rather unique and can be a point of pride for Bulgarians. While Jews were (shamefully) deported by Bulgarian authorities from the lands Bulgaria occupied in Yugoslavia, in Bulgaria itself massive protests by Bulgarians, headed by the patriarch of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church, stopped the deportation of Bulgaria's Jews.

Since you won't believe me about this, you should read either of these books:
Michael Bar-Zohar, Beyond Hitler's Grasp: The heroic rescue of Bulgaria's Jews (Holbrook, ME, 1998), or
Tzvetan Todorov, The Fragility of Goodness: Why Bulgaria's Jews survived the Holocaust (London, 2001)
