However we should not worry because the agreement will be ratified once DSS and SRS take over the government. DS is true disappointment.

may I honestly remind you that none of your political predictions became reality until now. if things do not develope as you wish, please express it, but please stop to predict anything.

concerning the contract with Gazprom: it is a fact that it is not signed yet and maybe this was the reason for the Russian delegation to come to Belgrade (one day before the elections in Russia) for to push it's signing. it must be enormous profitable for the Gazprom side!

I don't know who the Serbian constitution is written, but I know a bit about the Danish one.

After elections has been announced, the government is basically only there to keep the status quo. No new initiatives, no new commitments, just keep "the shop" running.

To me, it seems like Koštunica and Tadiš disagrees either on what the Serbian constitution says, or if signing the deal falls under the rule of "keeping status quo". What do you think?

Princip and Dragan,

I agree with you. However we should not worry because the agreement will be ratified once DSS and SRS take over the government. DS is true disappointment.

Whether we like it or not, Serbia has very few freinds these days and it would seem president Tadic would like to isolate Serbia from them. It is so very clear that he is not behaving as a head of state

Princip,
I agree wholeheartedly. This is just the DS being total fools, and some there are some strings being pulled in the background by the west who would love to see this Russian deal fail.
I certainly think there is no reason to delay and they should get this project moving ASAP. The Serbian voters will punish the DS for their actions, no doubt.

" As far as the energy agreement is concerned, the DS supports the agreement, and if it is in the position to do so, will propose its ratification after May 11 so that parliament can adopt it, and there the DS will vote for the adoption of the ratification law,"

- in that case just let it go to Parliment now!

Interesting that he would without question sign upto the SAA and barter away kosovo without so much as a thought!

This is not a sign of economic competence and DS look like they are in self destruct mode! DS should stop relying upon the bankrupt west which is running out of economic steam faster then its Economic 'experts & analysts' wish to admit. BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India & China) is the present not the future of global economic growth and they have alot of 'real' assets not dubious over-inflated illusionary sub-prime assets!

"sale of a 51 percent stake in the Serbian Oil Industry (NIS) to Russian Gazprom for EUR 400mn"

This is very cheap, is what strikes me first but there is no mention of the projected revenue of the pipeline itself. I hope this pays off the worth of NIS.
