Koštunica: Kosovo, Vojvodina both part of Serbia

Kostunica is saying the right things despite having joined hands with the schizophrenic DS for so many years. This time around, if he manages to stay in government through a coalition with the victorious Radical Party, his words will be translated into action, whether he likes it or not.

In response to the three preceding posters:

1. There is nothing in what Kostunica said that suggests in any way that he thinks Vojvodina is not part of Serbia. On the contrary, he says it is the next part of Serbia targeted by the Serbia-splitting agents of the U.S. It is also incorrect for the poster to equate separatism with "Europeanism". Serbia is and has always been at the heart of Europe. And once the disgrace called the EU is gone, Europe will still be here, eternal.

2. Telling the truth about the U.S. State Department's designs for the division and conquest of the Serbian nation takes no force nor courage. In fact, it ought to be the default position of every honest man, woman and child. Telling the truth about what is planned for Serbs unless they resist is neither manipulation, weakness nor anything other than the simple clear assessment of truths that are self-evident and openly admitted by the policy planners in Washington. In meeting after meeting held publicly by Washington think tanks there is no doubt about the fact that Serbia is headed for the chopping block in every sense of the word, unless it resists. People in Serbia already know this message because they are the ones who NATO bombed, who the UN lied to about Kosovo, and who see the U.S. knife still at their throats today. Serbs (especially those originally from Croatia) survived the Holocaust and just like their fellow victims, the Jews, than know that there is no longer any alternative to defending ourselves.

3. The statement that Kosovo was "never" part of Serbia is so delusional that it instantly discredits its writer. However, if the Kosovo Albanian who wrote that statement actually believes what he/she wrote, that statement should stand here as perfect evidence of the curriculum of lies and race hatred that the "pacifist" Albanians fed to their own children when they pulled them out of state schools and preached a message of anti-Serbian genocide to todays generation of young Albanians. These are the same Albanians who filled the ranks of the terrorist KLA and who have repeatedly shown that for them, the only good Serb is a dead Serb (with his/her organs extracted and sold on the black market by Albanian criminals so evil they would make the Nazi Dr. Mengele shudder.

Despite all that is wrong with the three posts that I have just refuted, I take them collectively as a positive thing because I recognize them to be precisely the transparent mix of ignorance, deception and propaganda that is needed to empower every clear-thinking Serb and non-Serb with the knowledge that the truth is finally emerging.

With opponents such as these, Serbia will surely win its David-and-Goliath battle to save Kosovo from the world's sole superpower and its evil minions.

any idiot knows that kosovo was part of the ancient kingdom of serbia. more recently it became part of serbia after the defeat of turkey in the balkan wars of 1910-13. this was much to the chagrin of the international community ( serbs could have taken all of albania but were talked out of it). it is interesting that kostunica is bringing up vojvodina. i always thought the more recent balkan wars were an excuse to roll back the serb gains from ealrier in the century. he is the first person in the political arena that has said something to make me belief that i am correct.

Vojvodina is 65% Serb, they will remain with Serbia, I don't get why everyone advocates their independence over here.

Its the sort of stuff that Goebbels was ranting at Czechoslovakia circa 1938 regarding the 'oppression of the Sudeten Germans. Politics is at it's worst when those that do not live in a given area feel themselves obliged to make decisions for those who do, escpecially when those outcomes are contrary to what the people impacted by them actually want. If Kosovo wants to leave Serbia then shakes hands amicably with your southern brothers & sisters and let them go. This is supposed to be a democracy, not an empire. Focus on the needs of Belgrade and Serbia Proper. Allow Kosovo and Vojvodina to forge their own destinies if they so choose to. The international community will respect a Serbia that supports it's populace and it's neighbours. Stop arguing and prolonging tired old conflicts and move on to a brighter future for everyone.
