Then again, Poland doesn't seem that much better off after joining the EU. Germany has high unemployment...etc...
(Kujon, 31 March 2008 16:42)

Sorry, but what arguments do you have?

Poland: please gather some information about economical developement there, and then present some facts right here to discuss.

Germany: do you remember GDR? do you have an idea, on what level people are living there, compared with Serbia?

I don't mind where Serbia ends up - as long it does not have any clear plan, where to go. former GDR knew it, Poland knew it - as an European I am proud on my German and Polish co-citizens for to know what they want.

Zlatko,

“ … all this monastary, heart of serbia stuff..who cares?...”

We, Serbs, care. Many other Orthodox people care. Even UNESCO care.

What do you actually now about that “stuff”? Are you a Croat? http://www.kosovo.net/egracanica.html http://nl.youtube.com/watch?v=cIeHB6ZHsjo
http://nl.youtube.com/watch?v=Y7tKexc4wSM http://nl.youtube.com/watch?v=PEHJY0T9RsQ&feature=related http://nl.youtube.com/watch?v=V9HWu2C6cU4&feature=related

“ … Join the EU, and actually get a stable growing economy together,… “

Forget it. Countries that calls the shots in EU are doing their best to destroy us. They are not going to make us prosperous and happy all of the sudden. They didn’t went through all this trouble for nothing.

Hi Peter ! I've been looking for you to give you a reply for your last comment over Polish role in WW2. If you dare to know the real truth please give me a link where we can talk without attracting attention.

The last thing the Serbs are going to do today is to listen to the foreigners in determining their future.

Regards !

Who cares about Kosovo?

Let it go, forget about it. It's useless, and it would take billions upon billions of dollars to repair all infrastructure, and actually bring proper utilities to that desolate region.

Just ignore it and continue, think of it as a gangrene infected arm, you're gonna amputate and move on with your life.

And all this monastary, heart of serbia stuff..who cares? There's no god anyways, religion is made up.

Move on with your lives.

Join the EU, and actually get a stable growing economy together, afer 20 years of turmoil/dishonesty/political instability.

MOVE ON SERBIA.

Trust me, you're better off WITHOUT Kosovo's burden.

What an hysteria!
But I hope it works though. With Nikolic in power (because Kostunica doesn't have a chance) Kosova will have a great boost to be recognized by those undecided countries, until the next early elections take place (sometime around 2009)
VOTE SRS!

I think Kosovo will be a new Taiwan without the financial strength and stability. Basically, Kosovo will not be unrecognized by those who recognize it (Has any self-proclaimed country ever been 'unrecognized'?)

However, to say not fight for Kosovo is political suicide in Serbia, and righfully so. Even if it is not possible to have the UN formally say Kosovo je Srbija.

Politicans like Tadic are in an impossible situation where they need to fight a lost battle (Unless it is to prevent future countries form recognizing and no UN seat) and move the Serbian people's thoughts toward a better future with the EU.

Then again, Poland doesn't seem that much better off after joining the EU. Germany has high unemployment...etc...

'More than 150 countries in the world today recognize the real Serbia, with Kosovo as its part, and the EU will have to do the same, he said.'
Bingo!
It is now obvious who is working for Serbia - DSS- and who is working for Yanks, Solana and the rest of their puppets - DS. I think the Serbian citizens now have all the evidence before their eyes to make the right choice.
Cheers!

It looks like Mr. Kostunica has not the spine anymore to serve to Serbia anything else than SRS does - obviously he fears that DSS voters running over to the Radicals in masses. Kostunica is not fighting for Serbia anymore, he's just fighting for nacked survival of his own political carrier.

This time round Kustunica will have a huge headache distinguishing between his coalition partners.
Will anybody be able to tell the difference between the Serbian and Russian twins??

From the diaspora, very excited to soon see a big win for DSS and Vojislav Kostunica.
Keep Serbia whole and proud.
She deserves it more than any other nation, for her citizens, who have been a absolute tower of strength and determination.
Kosovo is Serbia.

To those Serbs who really want to understand.
The choice is in your hands.

Kosova is lost once and for all. Whovever says differently is lying to you!

Either Serbia's EU prospect with Tadic or Serbia's self isolation with Kostunica/Nikolic.

The choice is yours but please don't blame the other for your wrong decision.

Kiwi,

Kosovo is not gone and certainly not lost. Don’t forget resolution 1244 which is officially the only legal paper that proves Serbia’s sovereignty over Kosovo or in other words Kosovo as a Serbian southern province. And please let us worry for isolation, you don’t have to. You should be worried what will you do once your Eu and USA friends turn you back after they implemented their agenda. You can be recognised by the entire world, but if not recognised by Serbia and if the resolution 1244 is not abolished by UNSC then you recognition means nothing because it is illegal. With that resolution we have all the rights in this world to claim Kosovo back under Serbia’s sovereignty once the changes take place in the world political scene and new conditions are met.

Ana,

I would say that Sutanovac was far worse, but I do agree with you that they are all uncivilized during election campaign. I would really appreciate if DSS does not use bad rhetoric and hope they refrain from pointing fingers at their opponents. I also admit that I would like if Mr Kostunica have distanced himself form characters such as Velja Ilic but there is nothing I can do about it. I just go, close my eyes and vote. I wish them all to behave like gentlemen and not like some peasants.

It's funny how this election campain is all about Kosova, for something that has already gone.Tadic is more realistic, he already knows that, he's looking for Serbia's future while other nationalist forces will be stucked to Kosova's name thats all what they can do because they don't and won't ever have any authority there and as a result they'll isolate serbia itself.
Good luck!

I wonder did your Vojislav Koštunica ever heard of Lincoln? He is repeating same lies all the time, and bmrussila and co. vote for him. Yes they did...and they did exactly the same as Sutanovac in his interview...

Promises, promises, promises...especially from Velja Ilic (who, to my surprise did not say one "bad" word in his entire speach)...

And again, offences, offences, offences against their, until yesterday, coalition partners...

Nothing new at the political scene in Serbia...

Which at the end of the day doesn't come as a surprise...
