CCCC

RE: Ment

CCCCC is just a sound that people make, when they are in disbelieve, or not real trusting something or just being cinical and ironic...

You pronounce it as ts, ts, ts...

So I am sorry if I have dissappointed you with the explanation. As you said, you have noticed that the "hardliners" use it...so I guess you thought we were doing something really wrong or as you say not very nice...

I am so sorry I had to dissappoint you with the truth...

But maybe it is yet again just another hardliner Serbian propaganda...

CCCC...

Ment,

There is nothing wrong in four "C"-s - as I know it means somewhat like "only being united will save Serbia" and it's part of Serbian State cote d'arms - it's even on the flag. A democrat can say "CCCC", a communist and even a neo-nazi. Of course every of them puts an other meaning into his words. What is true, many radicals put a special emphasis on it. However, once in a while non-Serbs would greet their Serbian friends like that, too.

What is important and most people forget - there is one more meaning out there. Namely, strictly speaking Serbs do not exist or if yes, it is very hard to define what that word means.

The dialects spoken in Germany are very far away from each other. A Bavarian can understand someone speaking the native Plattendeutsch dialect to a lesser degree than someone who lives in Ohrid an other person who lives in Murmansk. And by no means is Macedonian language regarded the "same" as Russian.

With the same logic, if Germany is "one", there seem to be rather illogical that people in Ljubljana live in an other country than people in Ohrid. Dividing people across faith is medieval madness - we are in 21st Century, not in 11th. What remains? Dividing people to dialects? See Germany. Dividing people according their traditions? If you go to Germany you will see, Bavarian traditions are very different than the Saxonian ones. Also Dalmatian traditions (food, etc.) in Kotor and in Dubrovnik are not as far apart as in Dubrovnik and Zagreb. Still, now these are different countries...for what reason?

After this long tirade: for many people the "CCCC" has a meaning somewhat like:

"down with the selfish, corrupt politicians who spilled the foreign-imported poison + used lowest local-patriotic beer-influenced feelings of the county simplicities to support their own corrupt agenda and destroyed a once prosperous, unified country".

So "CCCC" is... whatever context one wants to see it!

BTW: even if not of "Slavic" origin (does it matter?) our friend Hashim neatly falls into that category (+ being a war criminal, too). If we look at his past, he is just a bloody communist, here is the Wiki link:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hashim_Thaci

He is (still) a true follower of Marxist-Leninist practice, marked by such people as Lenin, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, Saddam.

Leninist-Stalinist practice is: the goal justifies the methods. Whatever these methods can be: killing own people reluctant to follow him, allying himself with obvious enemy (imperialist NATO) if that is useful, selling people as live organ donors - EVERYTHING goes. Remember Molotov-Ribbentrop pact: Stalin and Hitler became "buddies" because Stalin believed, it will (temporarily) serve his needs.

Now I dare to say, too: "CCCC" - it's up to you to decide, what context I do mean.

Just out of curiosity:

As an Albanian from Albania, I can't say I have any idea what on earth this CCCC means.

I've seen it used before here by the more hardliner types, so I can imagine that it can't be good. But still...just curious.

This is serious. KPS now is the time for you to show the Serbs what are you made of. Get in there, send 100 police officers to investigate it's a village in the end of the day shouldn't be to difficult.

They have to be caught now, there is no excuse for it,
can you imagine
if someone got shot.
(D.Laci, 28 March 2008 13:41)

You are right, KPS shoulnd investigate this crime. - but at the same time i think they should put more resources to investigate and catch the killers of the ukranian UN policman, don't you agree? In that attack somebody got killed.

To the Serbian posters:

I would not start assigning blame quite yet.

One thing we don't know is... were these police officers among the very few remaining Serbs that are choosing to remain under the KPS umbrella? If the answer is yes, it may be possible that these guys were considered "traitors" by a few hardline Kosovo Serbs..and shot at as a result. The attack was carried out past midnight, so it's not beyond comprehension that some Serb zealot would try to score double points by shooting at "traitors" and pinning the blame on sleeping Albanian villagers.

Then again, it could well have been Albanian zealots. I'm sure neither side lacks for scum.

I could not help make a comment after reading this article. It really goes hand in hand to what Bush said today that "serbs are treated with respect in Kosovo."

I don't know what planet Mr. Bush is living on but it's definately not this one!
