I think the world is getting a taste of what Albanians have had to deal with this past couple of centuries. Serb propaganda has not limits. I have read the report, and the entire article was qouted out of context.
No one is denying that trafficking exists, but it does so everywhere in that region, including your beloved Serbia.
My goodness...I feel sorry for that part of the world. To have to deal with this kind of blatant discrimination!!!!!
I have great respect for the Kosovo Albanians!!

Where exactly are the references of this article?

This is the 2008 report from UNODC and it doesn't even mention the term: Albanian in 60 pages of the report.

This is old news. (Kosovo guy, 27 March 2008 09:49)

Indeed, very old, the report from UN cam out a few days ago....keep on holding your head in the bag and blame others to cover the criminal activities of your puppet government!

Would love to see from B92 on which page(s) the remarks are? I have read through the whole 144 page report and cannot find one the accusations made in the article. Maybe good for B92 to show a link to the article? Ohterwise it seems not real to me and it brings down the trust I have in your news. Thanks in advance

Kosovo guy

This is old news. The proportion of drug dealers is far smaller than all the other Albanians living in Kosovo and Albania. There are probably more drug and ard dealers in London than entire Kosovo.
This problem needs to be addressed immediately. But please don't forget, as long as there is a demand for cocaine and heorine by Wester people, there will always be someone, be that a Kosovar Albanian, Serb, Bosnian or Bulgarian supplying it.
Keep Kosovo under brutal rule for 80 years, blocking any economic development, as well as Albanian uynder Hoxha, and then you get people in Europe dealing drugs as means to economic survival.

The Swiss

pre 16 godina

And this was known for so long by the same politicians that are today giving lessons of moral...truly disgusting!

The Swiss

pre 16 godina

So, as the pro-K-A posters would say, another unfounded story. Unfortunately for you guys fairytales are fashionable nowadays!

I knew it about Switzerland and mentioned it many times because there are part of our official state's statistics, but couldn't imagine that so many countries are having the same enormous problem!
Even secret services have warned their respective government, just unbelievable!

I don't know if I should laugh or find it disgusting to read here that this is another serbian propaganda, whereas this report was generated by UN. The full report is available on internet for those who have some doubts and still keep their head in the bag...

7 Billions, no wonder that the lobby worked very well in the congress and else where...

There is now not a single day passing without new abject official informations are being brought to the attention of the public.
Some politicians must really start feeling ashame of their decision, soon they will start sweating because sooner or later the truth will come out!

You wanted a state, you stole it and got a stinky pandora box with it! Good luck

World Citizen,

Perhaps you should look into the civil war in Colombia backed by America - why? Because it grows its own cocaine. And its biggest market? USA.
Three most exported things in the world are drugs, guns and oil.
Look like west has all three covered now.

*did two of your fellow country men get arrested at "Pristina" airport for bribery (who were only preceded by yet another country man who did the same bloody thing!)

first of all the italian and russian mafia does way more trafficing than the albanian mafia.

2 it was serbia who was the main route of drugs in the 80s when albania was communist but it lost its route because of the war.

"Typical serbs, "kosovo is lost, what can we so? oh yes, we can make the albanias look bad in front of the world by makink up lots of things".

Um Cyrus? Vini? At the risk of pointing out the painfully obvious, this report was submitted by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC). How did I find out that piece of investigative reporting? I simply read the above cited article.

Nowhere do we see "SANU", "Serbianna", "Kostunica" or even "Del Ponte". And last I checked, UNODC was not taken over by a bunch of Serb nationalists. I don't think they were bought off by the Greeks or Russians either.

"By the way, this article is offensive to Albanians and to me personally since I belong to that ethnicity."

Vini, don't get offended by the article. Get offended by the Albanian mafia leaders who are besmirching your collective name through their actions.

There are lots of problems in the balkans and why can't we start working together??? The criminality in the balkans is due to the poverty there, and it's comited by all the nationalities there - in fact the only leaders who cooperate in the balkans are the leaders of the criminal gangs!

I would like to hear what Mr. William Clinton and his wife, the Democratic candidate for president have to say about this. Furthermore, Mr. Holebrook, Ms. Madeleine Albright, and, of course, Gen. They had an opportunity to call it an abortion, but they stopped Mr. Milosevich in shutting down their business!

Nothing that we did not know has been published here...

WE TOLD YOU SO!!!

On the other hand, isn't it an interesting thing to notice that the US is now controling the three bigest centres of drug trafficking and drug production in the world: Afghanistan, Colombia and Kosovo?

Now this makes you think and worry...

Vini

Whoever wrote this article, must have gotten a F in Geography. Please spare us the profiling and stereotyping of Albanian people as the black sheep of the Balkans. How is possible that Serbs and Greeks always have to spill venum against the Albanians? We are surrounded by your kind and now we have become the drug route!!! Ridiculous. Anyway I can see the source of this article is "Tanjug" and understand their frustration and the need to portray us as drug dealers, muslim terrorists, blood thirsty killers. If your news papers think they will achive anything by writting such nonsense then they are dilusional. As far as Albania or Kosova is concerned, we do not need to deal drugs since we have enough recources to support ourselfs. I will suggest all the readers to be more open minded and not believe such vengfull articles.

By the way, this article is offensive to Albanians and to me personally since I belong to that ethnicity.

I suppose our Albanian buddies over here will say that these allegations are ridiculous as the allegations of Carla Del Ponte on organ trafficking. Well, this is cruel reality and simply implies Albanian nation at large. Many of them unfortunately refuse to face the reality, choose to ignore and doing so they actually support and indirectly involved in these criminal activities. However, Europe should wake up and widely open the eyes because they just granted criminals to run Serbian province Kosmet as independent state. Only idiot will not realise what is the purpose of Kosovo independence, it will be a main hub for human, organ and drug trafficking on one side while NATO on the other side promote its criminal military activates and implements its agenda. Wow, what has been achieved years and what Kosovo is turned into in just 9 years. Kosovo will never be lawfully and socially arranged society. Not with war criminals and organ, human and drug traffickers in highest leading positions. Sad, very sad!

What a revealing and alarming report!

“*The agency says it its report that it is "also possible, however, that organized criminal groups in Kosovo in fact have no influence on the authorities because they are actually those who are in power…
*The territory that includes Albania, Kosovo and western Macedonia is a huge drug warehouse...
*the Albanian mafia is the most serious criminal organization in Europe because it controls a huge part of the heroin trade in a number of European state - Switzerland, Greece, Belgium, Austria, Sweden, the Czech Republic, Norway, and, recently, in Great Britain.
*…one of the wings of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) was "linked with every known narco-cartel in the Middle East and the Far East", and that almost every European intelligence service and police has files on "connections between ethnic Albanian rebels and drug trafficking".

This verifies what so many of the posters on this site have said.
That the “authorities” or International Representatives answer to the criminal groups in Kosovo tells you why Snake Thaci is still there.

This report needs to be published globally to let the world know what a failure the US, UN, EU, NGOs, etc, etc have been in Kosovo.

Those who have correctly commented on the Albanian/mafia/drug connection are justified in saying, “I told you so!”

Um Cyrus?

World Citizen,

Perhaps you should look into the civil war in Colombia backed by America - why? Because it grows its own cocaine. And its biggest market? USA.
Three most exported things in the world are drugs, guns and oil.
Look like west has all three covered now.

RE: World Citizen...

The truth always hurts, and usually even more if you are not prepared for it...

As for me being rude, well I guess I'm not as rude as some other people that post here...

Not everyone has to like me and I am not particulary interested in you liking me either...A world citizen as you call yourself should be prepared for different opinions. So, I guess you are a citizen but far from being from the world...

And by the way, I'm not posting here so people would like or dislike me. Im just giving my opinion. If you do not like them, just skip them...

To Vini, if the albanians have so much else going on in the way of making money legally - then WHY -

*do you not have electricity all day?
*are your beaches ignored & not suitable for tourists?
*did two of your fellow country men get arrested at "Pristina" airport for bribery (who were only preceded by yet another country man who did the same bloody thing!)
*since you've invaded Kosovo, why haven't you/your countrymen done ANYTHING to better the conditions for "your people".

Please give us all a break.

Good luck

Would love to see from B92 on which page(s) the remarks are? I have read through the whole 144 page report and cannot find one the accusations made in the article. Maybe good for B92 to show a link to the article? Ohterwise it seems not real to me and it brings down the trust I have in your news. Thanks in advance
