The long-awaited promotion in Italy of Carla Del Ponte’s book, “The Hunt”, has been called off at the last moment.

the wiew over the Balkans won't change after the likely Berlusconi's victory.
As far as the Kosovo issue was concerned, there were a general agreement among all the biggest italian parties.
Lenard: Italy in this moment is so ridicolous that the only court yard of us woul be San Marino, with respect with this small country, more serious and effective than us...

Well Ambassador Del Ponte as we all know in some intervew lately she has also attacked the Vatican , The Italian Army in Bosnia etc etc
She has also expressed her point about a possible candidancy of Serbia in Eu that she rejects totally on ethical grounds..
But in all this stuff that probably were made in order to promote her book she has done some political analysis quite interesting..
Anyway with the new election in Italy and the probable win by the Right things will change for Mr.Tadic & Friends..
Infact Mr. Berlusconi will no more be interested in promoting a left winger governament to EU and his coalition has no big interest in NEW candidates in Eu (and also he is a big friend of Putin )
So Serbia must find another "sponsor" ...Prodi & D'Alema are the past...

Why am I not surprised of Italy's involvements in former Yugoslavia. Supporting Serbia one way and undermining another way vis ave Kosovo. Or with the other republics it is always divide & conquer stir up trouble in the Balkans for Italy. They always consider the area as its back yard and what ever resources it has as theirs. One country not to be trusted is Italy in the region and it should but out ,will it of course not has it ever.
