Kosovo officials dismiss Del Ponte allegations

If just a "single" case is proved to be true, and there are people working around the clock investigating this than Albania and Kosovo are finished. I suppose there are a lot of Albanian politicians panicked right now wondering how well the graves of these poor victims are hidden, and if they should take the risk of moving the graves. Serbia is watching Albania very carefully.

If this is ever to be proven, a person of strong conscience, who is guilt ridden, will have to come forward and tell the truth.

By doing so, that person or person knows that their remaining days on this earth will be limited: when you become a snitch, organized crime is not forgiving.

Does anybody know what camp Bondsteel was built on top of? Maybe a search party should be sent to investigate.

From the very onset of this illegal declaration by US backed terrorists, Kosovo Albanians consistently deny any wrong doing for anything that has occurred during their "watch" over Kosovo. This story is beyond shocking and horrific. Wouldn't our Albanian neighbors agree to this, or have you all placed blinders on your faces as per your instructions from Washington? If you can't believe this could have happened under the name of Albanian, then let us perhaps divert your attention to some proven facts.

Let us recap what Albanians have done:

-armed rebellion in order to achieve another Albanian State
-ethnically cleansed over 200,000 Serbs from Kosovo
- not allowed refugees the right to return to their homes/property
-killed thousands of Serbs/non Albanians
-destroyed hundreds of Orthodox Churches/monasteries
-Gold medal winners in Heroin and Sex slave industry..FACT!

Why now would your compassion for Serbians be any different now? ? You've been denying involvement in any criminal activities since solidarity with then Nazi Germany.

Kosovo Protections Corps (KZK) spokesman Colonel Semsi Sulja told daily Koha Ditore that the former Hague prosecutor was “lying” and that here statements were “absurd.”

Of course, she woke up one morning and decided to write that kind of terrible story for fun...

The Isufi who is a frequent poster seems rather inexperienced and uninformed especially on international issues.

These knee jerk denials won't convince anybody. I don't know how it works in Kosovo these days but necessary organs should undertake an investigation to see whether there is truth to the allegations.

Instead we have politicians using the opportunity to line up to bash Del Ponte and to claim some cheap political points.

This woman has totally discredited herself with this book, and all her actions before. She has tainted the Hague tribunal and all the balkan war crime prosectutions for ever. She has made unfouded claims throughout her career, and by politicizing every prosecutiong and sticking her nose where it didn't belong she has actually harmed the initial intetions of the Hague tribunal - prosecute the war criminals and bring to light the crimes commited during the wars.

Last week we are reading articles of how Albanian women are abused, their terrible plight, now are are reading about organ traffic. Funny how these stories are starting to turn up. Must mean that western support is eroding. I expect there will be more "atrocity" stories to come.

My cousin was killed by serb mortarts and I know very well where his grave is - and so do thousands of other albanians the whereabout of the graves of their families.

And that irrefutable evidence.

If there was any truth in this sick story, we would have been hearing about it everyday for the last 9 years from the serbian politicians. And they would've have spent millions and millions of dollars to try and located the grave/bones of these victims. This would have been the biggest PR argument against independence, NATO, and everything else serb claim.

Don't you think its wierd then that this story has not been publicised before??

If there is some concrete evidence, I will be the first one to condem these crimes - but until then I am certain that these are just some dirty fabrications.

Where were these operations carried out in Albania? Who were the expert doctors? Who were the organs sold to?

Albania can hardly provide basic healthcare to its citizens, let alone have facilities and experts to carry out organ transplants! Albanians have to go to Italy for these operations.

This is pure lie. I am Albanian but if this story is true, I think they shoukd not make politic with this tragedies, but look for responsible persons, and arrest them.

Nikshala, I’m sorry for the loss of your cousin. No one should have to suffer like that, and we are all human beings. I heard similar stories from my family about their fate as well. Thank God it was not anything like what happened in WWII.

In regards to the accusations, as I’ve said before, that was a very common Urban Myth at the time (especially in South America), so I don’t put much credit in it. Even if it turns out to be true, I doubt it would get much attention. Crimes against Serbs are completely swept under the rug. I mean, think about it, the Albanians were rewarded for the 2004 riots, Standards Before Status was abandoned and the independence process speeded up as a result.

Roger, I’m certain it is the same individual and that would explain why he’s been too busy to post much lately. If you read all his earlier posts, you’ll see he claims to have a lot of inside information and access to areas a regular citizen would not have. He always claims to have firsthand information. It has to be the same person. Do a google search for his name on the B92 website (advanced options to search just this website) and read his posts with this in mind, it should be clear then. I’ve been trying to figure that out for at least a year now. If its not him, then he’s pretending to be him. I often google people’s names here, its sort of fun what you turn up.

Hopefully Ahmet won’t take it personally against me when I visit Pec. I’m really not such a bad guy, even though you once called me a sheep in wolves clothing.

I have lived in Fushe Kosovo during the war (just 6 days after the NATO strikes) and terrible things have happended there. So you can play with numbers as much as you like but we know very well who did what.

I belive Del Ponte is overdoing the 'neutral' role , you don't mix victim with the offender Carla.

Her book may be intresting, but I am sure nothing has stopped her you from accusing Fatmir Limaj who turned out to be inocent. So don't tell me Del Ponte was affraid of Thaqi to accuse him.
This is what some internationals from the 'bird' perspective try to do: see we are 'neutral' see we are accusing albanians as well.

Do some of you here realise that before and during the war, it was very much 'generaly acceptable' to kill, imprision, rape ... an albanian (siptar) so please do not sound so much terryfied for some 'facts' that are not proven at all. After all it is a book.
