Koštunica on DS Kosovo stance: Empty sloganeering

I am so disappointed that Tadic et al are ready to capitulate. Tadic signing Serbia into EU servitude reminds me of Regent Prince Pavle signing the Tripartite pact. Serbs should remember their history on voting day.

Serbs will have to decide in the election if they will abandon Kosovo and their whole history and justify NATO bombing of Serbia. Voting for Tadic will maybe bring us a handful of Euros, but it will surely be a lot to loose.

And so it continues. In the lack of any other policies DSS election effort consists of condemning DS for losing Kosovo.

When will Kostunica understand that this policy isn't effective, and will only drive more of his voters to SRS? If the message is that the harder line you have with the internationals the more results you get from them on Kosovo, then it makes perfect sense to vote for SRS in order to retain Kosovo in Serbia. They have a harder line than DSS, everybody knows that.

On the other hand if DSS Kosovo policy is about a display of emotion that produces no results in reality then 'patriotic' voters will still rather vote for SRS.

If, after all this, Kostunica still decides to back a DS government, everybody will remember empty words. Having said that we remember the last time Kostunica betrayed Nikolic as well... Hmmm...

Mr. Tadic is a talented politician...but is, unfortunately, a lousy statesmen.

This is the first I've ever seen Kostunica look good. In the last few years the Serbian politicians seem depressed, sleepless and very sad. This is one picture that makes me think that Kostunica is happy. Of course we all know on whose mandate a certain country declared independence on.

So many of you make allusions between the behavoir of the international community today and the behavoir of varios actors during WWII.ASlbanians, Croats, Hungarians were alies of the Nazis, Tadic = Price Paul etc. Keep in mind two things. 1. -Hitler was evil, EU and NATO are not. Any compareson is absolutely out of tune, Compareson sounds rediculous even to their moderate critics. 2.- The structure and the borders of royal Yugoslavia were percieved as such a gross injustice by practically everyone in the region. That combined with the communist threat lead to so many regional actors collaborating with the Axis powers. But all that, thank God is a distant history. Only in Serbia people seriously believe that nations should still be punished because of what stand thay had during WWI or WWII and receive bonuses, because the faught on the Alied side in those wars. It is 21 century!
