A very important Greek said some simple words which all freedom loving Greeks, both the ones living in Greece and those of the diaspora, must live by and put into action. His words still ring true today.
"Listen my friend...Macedonia is the lung of Greece and without it the rest of Greece is doomed to die. Let us rush to save our Macedonia, while there is still time."
Pavlos Melas, the legendary Macedonomachos.
In July, 1904 under the alias Captain Mikis Zezas, he reentered Macedonia with a small unit of Greek soldiers and fought against the Bulgarian units of VMRO until October 13, 1904 when he was killed by the Turks in the village Statista.
After his death, Greek efforts became more intense, resulting in the interception of Bulgarian efforts, specially in West and Central Macedonia, which composed part of Greece, after the Balkan Wars.
He is considered to be a symbol of Greek Struggle for Macedonia and many of his personal effects can be seen in the Museum of the Macedonian Struggle in Thessaloniki and Pavlos Melas Museum in Kastoria.
The village with coordinates 40° 42' N 021° 16' E has since been renamed Melas in his honour.
We have our freedom today because of the brave sacrifices of our beloved and respected Hellenic Armed Forces.
God be with you and give you victory.

Its true, we wil call you whatever we like, some others might call you whatever they like, but one thing is what you are and another what name you are called by.
So your problem will always be that you might be called macedonians by way of where you reside in, but the whole world already knows and recognises at the same time Alexander the Great and the MAKEDONIAN kings, philosophers, artists, scients as Greek ones, and that is more than enough for me :)

So, yeah keep calling yourselves whatever you wish to be. Truth was and will be always different. Apart from that, I am really proud that there is a group of slavic people that are so jealous of my history that want to copy everything from it, even its heroes and legends and names and symbols. Shows how small sometimes people can be.
Fortunately not all of them. There are logical people among them that see the real thing and act that way. And with those and all the rest that are just victims and dont have the means to educate themselves (and there are a lot in FYROM) I have no problem at all. They are welcome and respected as good neighbors and good people. Good people are also those that are misguided by the years old propaganda, they just need affection and understanding.... but I am not the one to provide it :D

Yeah, our troops are massed and ready, bring it on! Seriously though, it wasn't the Macedonians who invaded a foreign country, stole land/property, forcibly ejected the population, terrorized those that remained into renouncing their identity and accepting a false new one!

If you'd like to know the truth, oh, high and mighty greek patriot; Macedonians are not interested in hatred, borders and politics! We're a peace loving people and our souls are in peace, unlike the "greek Macedonians" who DO KNOW what has happened to the local population since 1912!

No amount of greek propaganda can conceal the light of truth! No matter what, greeks unfortunately have lost this vicious charade that they alone have instigated! If you yourself knew what an authentic identity meant to a people you would understand our position, if you were secure and content in who you were, you would laugh any pretenders off! Unfortunately for you, pretending is a child's game and even greeks will one day be forced to grow up.

I don't know what you're talking about, but I'm from Tetovo, MK, and I don't understand more than 10% of Bulgarian. Possibly eastern and southeastern FYROmians speak closer to Bulgarian(as all boundary areas have similar dialects), but the Northwestern areas speak closer to the Torlakian dialect like in Prizren and Vranje. FYI, there are many Serb roots in MK, not just Bulgarian!

Miloshoski was cited by media in Macedonia as saying that the U.S. "came up with new ideas for overcoming of the name differences at the Macedonia-Greece talks in Brussels".
I wonder what these new ideas might be.I don'tbelieve
that there has been any change in the attitude of FYROM because they are firmly entrenched.Furthermore,as any
politically educated person will know by now is that the issue is not the name but the
irredentism against Greece which is their national past-
time.The Bulgarian speaking
population is trying to redraw their losses in the balkan wars against Greece and Serbia and the subsequent
population exchanges which they present them as expulsions by Greece. The Greek communists that were expelled in 1949 are called as Aegean Macedonians and therefore are a minority in exile.Nothing is being said about the 000s of people they killed or the 30000 12 year old boys and girls conscripted into communist ranks.
By creating the minority issue, given the kosovo example, they think that they might find a future protector who will help them
achieve their plans.
Whatever happens with the NATO invitation, FYROM should know that the EU membership requires the conclusion of 35 chapters in order to harmonise the country with the rest of the EU. There're 70 possible vetoes and will make sure that their irredist ideas are
eliminated before any chapter opens or closes.
