What he said is the truth, and nothing but the truth. According to UNSC resolution 1244 Kosovo is still Serbian province and if someone found it offensive it is their problem, not ours. Our athlete was penalized for telling the truth. It is important that he has no regrets and I believe in that as I would have no regrets myself. Next time, in Olympics Cavic won’t be wearing that t-shirt but his supporters will. We will be there wearing the t-shirts and our flags and we will be singing our national anthem out loud all together with Cavic when he receives his golden medal.

Obviously a very level-headed (and talented) young man. May that gold medal be followed by many more.

I found that decision to suspend the participation of the European Champion, American-born Milorad Cavic is morally reprehensible. UN R1244 says that KOSOVO is a part of SERBIA and this is the only legal document that addresses this issue. This case could provoke an international outcry from Serbs and Americans alike. His exclusion from the race is too harsh an action. He is loved by all Serbs around the Globe.

Kosovar Albanians have been waiting and fighting for decades against the Serbian rule. And they have learned to be patient to be member of UN. That is not the most important thing at this stage. First get recognised by its neigbours, most of the EU and the world and the job is done! Do you still really dream that Serbia will control Kosova?
