Italian FM: Europe waiting for Serbia

Mr. D'Alema,

Serbia is ready to integrate as well. However, since all Serbs have seen is sticks so far maybe you wouldn't mind sharing some carrots with us.

The EU is a joke. A failed experiment. They actually need Serbia more than Serbia needs the EU.

Mr. D'Alema. How many no thank yous do you people need?
How many times do you have to be told that Serbia does not want to join the EU without being given respect and what is hers back?

This now is bordering on harrassement. You have been told more than once what it will take to consider joining your club so why do you constantly keep coming back like an unwanted missionary on the door step?

When you are ready for a serious deiscussion please do come back but until then you know what it will take, so stop being such a pest.

The way the EU is behaving at the moment, they may as well be waiting for Godot.

I agree with Massimo D'Alema that Serbia's natural place would be in Europe but at the the end we can not force Serbia to join EU or let Serbia to dictate to EU. I think it is Serbia who will needs EU and not other way around. The Serbs have a fantastic chance in the coming election to choose which way to go. If they choose the wrong path PLEASE do not blame the other for you choices. PLEASE!

Just why is Serbia's position should be inside the EU?

The whole region can join EU, Serbia can stay out, these people coming out with these statements make it sound like it's EU or death.

Better yet EU is a weak union who can't handle its' own internal affairs. You couldn't even get all your members to agree on one single issue.

Mr D'Alema you cannot force countries to join the EU if they don't want to.But we the Kosovars can confirm that will join the club soon.

I for one carn't understand why anybody would join a organisation that not only a decade ago was bombing and killing your people, the EU says it want to unit people yet it help splinter the old yugosluvia into small portions.
