Why not!

If they have a double citizenship Kosovas/Serbian and the Serbian authorities allow they can vote.

Of course this will not have any legal or practical affect on Kosova.

Under 1244 which remains in force, K-Serbs are entitled to vote in Serbia's elections.

I will bet voting will take place in the north. I don't see how UNMIK or Nato or EU will have the stomach for another bloodbath by physically preventing the voting from taking place.

lili, the Serbs of Kosovo haven't chosen to be Serbian citizens, they are Serbian citizens. Declaring independence and having it recognised by 30+ countries doesn't alter that fact.

Kosovo Serbs have voted in every Serbian election after 1999 under resolution 1244. Since resolution 1244 is still valid and Serbia has not recognized Kosovo, obviously Serbs must be allowed to vote. Trying to stop Serbs from voting would be illegal and undemocratic.

But I have lost faith in the EU lately and don't count on them respecting democracy any more.

NO as long as serbia does not recognize kosovo as a state; Then you can vote in the serbian ambassy in prishtina,if your choose to be a serbian citizen, and then you will be considered as stranger in kosovo and not as its citizen!
we do know that kosovo serbs vote for nikolic up to 85pc,so if they vote serbia is far away from europe, let them vote!

Why not.

The Autonomous Province of Kosmet is a constitutent part of the Republic of Serbia. According to UN Resolution 1244 and the Helsinki Agreement it is. Its a bit like the EU saying to the Spanish government that they could hold national elections in the Basque Region.

It will be interesting to see if NATO troops use force to stop Serbian citizens of exercising their democratic right as Serbian citizens in the Autonomous Province of Kosmet.
