Unfortunately, the U.S. under George Bush, as well as the previous Clinton administration, have no regard for international law. A list of examples (i.e. bombing Belgrade, 1244, Rendition) can fill volumes. It's amazing to note the role reversals that have transpired between the former USSR and USA.

The hypocrisy of our foreign policy is mind-boggling. For example: Between China and Cuba if we had to choose one as "more evil" it would be China. Yet, we trade with China and refuse to confront them on the statehood of Taiwan. Yet we have been punishing Cuba for years with embargos, trade, access etc. causing great hardships to the citizens in that country. Makes absolutely no sense! And true to form we support a muslim Albanian government led by former terrorist over our Christian brothers in Serbia who have always been at our side in difficult times. Madness! I said it elsewhere and will repeat it here: If Serbia was a Roman Catholic country none of what is happening now would have occurred. Kosovo would be Serbia!

Will things improve for Serbia and the world after Bush leaves office? Unfortunately NO!
If elected:
McCain will continue Bush's foreign policies.
Hillary Clinton will probably develop Madeline Albright Syndrome and we all know what that means for Serbia.
Obama would probably be the least of all evils regarding Serbia, but he faces an uphill battle getting the nomination and winning the Presidency.

Serbia's only hope for the future isn't through NATO or the EU but through a partnership with the emerging power of Russia.
Serbia's very survival in the future can only be achieved if it becomes a nuclear power. FACT - The USA never threatens military action against a nuclear power only meaningless sanctions.

"...we believe that we are entirely within our rights to state the fact that if the international community did not impose its political will on the Albanians by force, because for years they said they did not want Belgrade’s political will, then what right has anyone from the international community or the current mission to Kosovo to impose its political will by force on the Serb side,” he complained."

Serbia needs to join the Commonwealth of Independent States, or the forces of N.W.O. the United States and N.A.T.O and the Euro-Union. Serbia you have been sitting on the fence way to long, don't you realize you cannot afford to lose more land. The West has been succesfull in their quest of expansion so far and has supported all former republics into establishing their independence from Yugoslavia. So make a decision which way your going to go and do it.

The EU is now learning that by imposing you can make an enemy of yourself.

I always argued that the whole Kosovo issue could have been settled within 1244 if the EU diplomats had bothered to put their minds to it. However, that didn't happen.

I think that it is clear that the EU will not be allowed to function in the way that they intend in North Mitrovica. Their naive wish will not be allowed to come true because the people don't want it.

Jakšić stressed that following the brutal arrest of 53 justice employees, a big crowd had spontaneously and quite justifiably gathered, as the Serbs could not tolerate the humiliation and injustice of seeing their fellow citizens so badly treated.

Spontaneous? Go feed your lies to someone else. UNMIK is saying that they have been hearing dialog on radio between ex KPS and MUP in Serbia in advance to this event, talking about details.

If all of this is tied to that "minister" --- the Hague is going to be calling his name.

*-Typical American cowboy style behaviour. They behave exactly the same way in Iraq but only more frequently than in Kosovo. *
American police behave like this here, at home in America. It is routine for American police to slam people to the floor. In Florida they throw people out of wheelchairs.
Americans need to be kept out of international law enforcement, as they do not follow human rights standards for law enforcement...

It seams in principle a logical parallel.

It’s a pity that he speaks from Zvecan with 10,000 people in the name of K-Serbs of 130,000 and compare that to 2 million K-Albanian that were persecuted, while he and all K-Serbs will enjoy all rights in Kosova and will/can use their language in all admin. levels in Kosova- Serbian is official language. And his right will be guaranteed by the international community.

The parallels are to be taken with extreme caution.

He added that an American policeman “who was in a jeep, fired at the crowd,” which provoked the Serbs’ justified reaction.

They must learn that they cannot please Serbs by any means to accept EULEX, to accept Albanian led society after UDI. If they want to use tanks and heavy force against the Serbs in the future then they must be aware that they will have same if not worse response.

The UN should tell the Americans that Kosovo is not the wild west. They had no right to arrest anybody. Whose law were they upholding?

Resolution 1244 is still in force therefore the only law they are bound to uphold is the Serbian law and not the law of some puppet state which is not even legal.

They will have a lot of explaining to do. Who ordered the arrests and how legal was that order? Who ordered the shooting? This was clearly attempted murder by NATO.

Just because the Americans are free to shoot any Iraqi they want does not mean they can do the same to the Serbs. They are not above the law and they should be brought to justice.
