If you see the world through the same eye-glasses as countries like Iran or Venezuela - and would like to accomplish the same - than sure for you too we are the biggest threat. We are the only ones who would never compromise with terrorists or ennemies, who would like to destroy us.
(Joe, 21 March 2008 01:20)

Fortunately you are part of a tiny percentage of the US population thinking that way and thanks god soon you'll be part of the dirty past together with your current administration

Isn't he the same Joe who knows the truth - i.e. I am not Hungarian but Serb in disguise? If that's the case: arguments are fruitless, he knows everything.

Let's waterboard witnesses to get to the truth. This is a well established method used by the most civilised of countries. If you don't know who that is, I will tell you. It is the USA. I hope those in the position of authority, will follow this fine example.

I keep hearing about sniper bullets found in Serb protestors. Would anyone be surprised if the Serb govt. shot their own protestors with UNMIK-type weapons so they could later claim foul?

Gee - I wonder.

The US is not the solution it's the PROBLEM.

You just don't get it.

Saddam Hoessein was installed and supported by the US.

Pinochet was installed and supported by the US

Various other regimes were installed and supported by the US in South-america.

The Taliban was armed and trained by the US.

The Irianian Shah got weapons and support from the US in his bid to suppress the Irianian people, prompting the irainian revolution.

The US supported the french colonial regime in Vietnam, prompting an communist revolution against it.

and to quote youre own words "That all shows you that the US had to work very hard to defend democracy, justice and human rights sparing no costs."

The US has CAUSED all off these problems it's now fighting, they created those regimes.

and if as you say the US defends human rights (i first remind you off : Abu Graib, Gantanamo bay) then why do they refuse to sign the treaty allowing US citizens to be trialed for war crimes in the Hague.

Why is the US an the list of country's that violates Human Rights, why does the US use waterboarding which is seen as Torture by ALL western country's (except the US).

No Joe, you are dead wrong and the US is currently loosing more and more allies and support by the day.

The image of the US has taken severe blows which will probably take more than 100 years to recover from.

P.S.
Did you actually know that Tito who surpressed various ethnic groups (with force if neccesary) in the former Yougoslavia was also supported by the US?

The US is currently the biggest threat to world peace, period

There goes our buddy Joe, suggesting the absurd once again to somehow justify the actions of NATO against civilians.

To remind all, Joe suggested rising oil prices and our failed banking system in the US won't affect the "average" US citizen. In addition that the devaluation of the dollar to it's current levels is a good thing. Comedy.

"Highest possible hypocrisy." Is that the best you could do along with quoting the NY Times, a shell of it's former self? Oh, NY Times says it...it must be true..right? Wrong!

Bottom Line: Fully armed soldiers fired into civilians. It's called civil disobedience and using live ammunition against a civilian population by an occupying force is criminal. The NATO/EU burocrat that ordered this confrontation should be held accountable. Don't tell me that the NATO, the most advanced imperialistic army ever devised was frightened by civilans of SERBIA? Wonder why Afghanistan is proving such a challenge to occupy and control.

FYI JOE: Over 200 arrests were made in the US Protesting the War in Iraq, another disgrace on the collective soul of a once proud USA. Why didn't DC police use live ammunition to disperse these protesters? Perhaps because Serbs were not present to offer a justifiable target?

Ronald

This is the highest possible hypocrisy of the Serbian government. They know more than anybody about it because Samardzic organized it. It is even mentioned in today's New York Times.
(Joe, 20 March 2008 14:18)

So then it must be true, it was written in the New York Times.

Hahahahahahaha if one country and it's press lies then it's the US, just like all those Weapons of Massdescrution Saddam had, an official from the US administration willingly LIED about it, the manufactured evidence and youre thinking you are reading the truth????

I'm getting more disgusted by the the day from the actions from the US.

Did you even know that the US has caused the MOST civilian deaths since WW2???

Started the most wars since WW2.

Caused the most unrest worldwide since WW2.

Supported the most illigal coup's worldwide since WW2

Did you even know that Saddam grabbed the power in Iraq with the HELP OF THE US?
(Yes the US installed Saddam as dictator off Iraq).

Did you know that most wars fought by the US since WW ONE was caused by the US.

So if i where you i sure as hell wouldn't be 'proud to be an american', i would shut up and crawl under an rock.

Its certainly possible to bribe a few public officials in every country however in most industrial nations, travelers aren't usually recomended to bring extra cash to clear up 'missunderstandings' with the police like travelers to Russia are. Negotiations like those which some people claim did not occur require the cooperation of many people, particularly in situations like this, on average when a group without deadly weapons (ie guns or knives) has taken control of a facility the situation is typically difused within 24 hours and in the most extreme cases within 48. The fact that no Serbian politician went out to meet these protestors and to attempt to negotiate a peaceful ressolution is disgusting. There are reasonable ways of protesting something and then there are underhanded methods like draging your feet in terms of dissuading violence yet sprinting to the finish line in the last thirty seconds. There may be injustices on both sides but that's no reason to 'douse a burning building with oil'.

Asking only UNMIK to run investigation is useless since they will do everything to fake the official report or to obstruct and mislead the investigation. It is really not hard to conclude how far they are ready to go to intentionally pass the blame on Serbs. The investigation must be organised so to be as unbiased as possible and the event must not be investigated by UNMIK police officers but the investigators coming from the countries having neutral stand in regard to Kosovo status. I would also like to include Russian investigators since they are going to be far more objective.
