Here is my not-so-far-fetched prediction. Nikolich wins and Tadic loses. Serbia does not join the EU and continues to align itself with Russia. And the US and EU can not understand the thinking of the Serbian people.

Well, let me spell it out for them. If you try to subjugate and demean a people, they will eventually rise up. The way the Serbs see the situation goes something like this: we have lost the Serb part of Croatia, we are forced into a union in BiH we do not want to be a part of, our beloved Montenegro has also sold us out, and now they have taken Kosovo away too. Where does it end? Should Vojvodina also be taken away? Should Presevo be taken away? What more can the US do to alienate and destroy the Serb nation? And then they will call the Serbs "isolationists" for choosing Nikolich. The US and EU need a grip on reality, probably more than the Serbs do. These wounds will fester with the Serbian people for a long, long time. The Serbs have not forgotten 1389. How will they forget these current events in Kosovo?

I agree with Willie Garvin. Serbia must stand united to be able to effectively defend its borders. This is not the time for internal quarrel. Samardzic has done an excellent job so far. He should be supported by Tadic and by all Serbs, no matter from which political party.

Dear B92, I am mostly an observer on this site, and whilst I appreicate the action you take in banning multi identities from the same ISP, I would ask that you look into poster Balkanupdate who seems to just stir up trouble.

Banning him would be a good start

I know I'm just some idiot foreigner who doesn't have a clue what he's talking about but....

Hello Serbia! Reality calling!!!

Your country is being dismembered by outside agencies. Now is the time to stick together and be united. But what are you doing??

Oh yes. Let's do the normal trick and fight each other by trading insults. Serbia will lose Kosovo, but as long as we win an election, we can always blame the losers!!!

Balkan Update:

Easy there little guy, this minster has done nothing to suggest being banned from Travel. He simply disagrees with the stance taken by the international community and the illegal Alanania state in Serbia. His politics don't jive with yours...sounds democratic to me?

On the flip side, Perhaps you need to be banned from B92 until a more constructive comment is offered by youself?

"Who asked you, Tadic?"
(Ezekiel, 19 March 2008 19:20)

Hmmm, Serbian people did. They just elected him. Do you have any other questions?

Now the real question is why did Samardzic lie yesterday when he said he told Tadic about his so called "plan"? Good for Tadic to call him out on it publicly. We can now assume that he also lied when he said he and Rosin (of UNMIK) agreed on how to proceed. This so called minister should be put in a black travel list which would prevent him from traveling anywhere outside of Serbia. What a joke he is.

Perhaps the only President ever to send out a press release stating that he is unaware. I believe him!

President Reagan said he forgot, but this is one step farther. Of course Reagan may have been senile.

I can just imagine Tadic holding his eyes closed singing "I don't know what is happening in Kosovo la la la. The European Union is our friend la la la We should join Nato la la la when will Dinkic come and bring me my medicine la la la"

Who asked you, Tadic? If only there was a president that had in his/her interests the state of Serbia and all her citizens then Samadzic would have reported to that person. Unfortunately, such a person does not hold office.

So here we have yet another politician who doesn't have a clue and always finds out something when it is too late!

Who on earth I am going to vote for? Can I be a candidate?

If Serb nationalists DO NOT respect their own president by informing him of their events/intenstions, then how do you expect the Kosovo/a Albanians to respect the Serbian Govt?????

Or even be governed by them when they can't get their own house in order?

Imagine the K-Alb accepted broad autonomy, would that mean it would always be open to interpretation depending who's holding office or not?

Which group had power or not?

How would that have solved the Kosovo/a issue?

For the love of God, may the Serbian folks vote Pro Democratic and realize that the EU is the way for prosperity, well being, peace, and happiness.
