"For a European Serbia—Boris Tadić"... Tadic i don't know which century you are living in but serbia has been part of Europe for thousands of years and this idea of you wanting to join the EU whom the 1st High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy is Javier Solana the same man that was the secretary general of NATO in 1999 and the same man that ordered the bombing of Serbia
Open your eyes people Tadic is not leading you to a future

DSS and SRS will win. Kosovo will be divided at Mitrovica. Everyone will be angry in December. Parliament will dissolve yet again. Maybe someone with half a brain cell will run for office in January.

"For a European Serbia"...

Well I'm not sure about the rest of you but I will be voting "For a African Serbia"... I guess Tadic and his pals got zeros in their Geography classes.

Indeed this is making the choice a lot easier, Serbia has more political parties than it can stomach, with any luck half of them will disappear forever come May 11th. Oh and Tadic is gonna have a hard time explaining to his supporters his decision to get cozy with the likes of LSV & SPO. Two largely irrelevant and unpopular parties...now there only missing LDP.

Vote DSS! ;)

I lost all confidence in Tadic when he allowed himself to be stabbed in the back by the EU technocrats (lets not forget the EU set up their illegal mission secretly the Friday before Presidential elections) with whom he still chooses to be associated with.

Regarding the Slogan might as well be;

“For a European Beogradski pašaluk ? — Boris Tadić“.

- its sad that many an Albanian commentator has sneered at just this! It would be sad to see such an EU buy out reality!

Looks like the DS are trying to pick-up every spare vote they can get. And they are going to need it. At this years presidential elections, Nikolic won 200.000 more votes in the first round than he did the second, during the previous elections. And with UDI, things can only get better for the Radicals. The most logical option is a coalition with DSS, but there is a slim chance that SRS could get 50%+1vote, although I doubt it. But, either way, my slogan is "sa svim srcem".

i'm back again with figures imifraid :) but these are as genuine as they come.
if the class will look up at the top of the post :) you will see the number of votes the ds got in the 2003 early elections, after djindjic's death. below is percentage of all votes, and below still, the number of seats they won. tadic in the meantime took the party to the mainstream and appealed to a lot of people who will never again consider backing them now that they slide back to the position they were in late 2003.
if there should be any present, or former ds voters in this forum, take a look at the figures once again, thats the ds future.
if they're lucky and get ldp on board in time that is :))

Well people this simplifies the situation. Once radicals come to power these little parties will probably unite and quit the government to make us look undemocratic. However when radicals come to power action is more important then image. Kosovo is Serbia and so is RS. CCCC

Yep, you are so right and at least it will maybe give independant entrepreneurs and foreign investors like myself the opportunity to have a better longer term planing! Nothing more anoying for a foreign investors to have to deal for so long with so many different administrations, political tendences and a heavy bureaucracy to satisfy everyone!

The Political environment in Serbia is beginning to look like 1941 when the Government broke down over the NAZI invasion of Serbia and we all know how that Government faired. Serbia is headed for a major Government change. My prediction from a few months ago that Tadic himself was not going to last longer in office than this spring is starting to look more and more like reality. Not since the the NAZI invasion has the Serbian Government let their people down so badly. The Radicals will gain power this May and no matter what they do to fight for Kosovo they will have the law on their side! Tadic will go down in Serbian History as the leader who let Kosovo get away from Serbia.

Have made it a practice not to comment on internal politics of Serbia as do not really know enough about internal political parties.

But as the situation has simplified, will give my thoughts.

Boils down to Kosovo or the EU.

Recent events have shown that DS has given up on Kosovo (Sorry Boris - kind of like you & don't especially like Nikolic, but that's the way I see it), while DSS & SRS haven't (Kostunica is growing on me - probably because of all the attacks by the K-albanian camp - & if they see him as a threat... ).

As for the EU, believe joining now would be a mistake - would only become the newest 'kid on the block' & one of many. Pace of reform may be slower, but think there may be advantages in being 'outside' the EU, but still inside Europe - in the longer term. And there's always 'inat' - would be a certain pleasure to 'thumb one's nose' at 'brussels' :)

Anyway, that's my opinion.

So SPO is back...sadly, this is the last try to stay floting for the DS. They should really ask themselves how on earth have they come to this?
