Serbs, you stood up to the Germans in World War II. You can stand up to the countries that are trying to humiliate you now.

In World War II, at least the Germans told you they were your enemies. Today's enemies come pretending to be your friends.

Greece is with you

MUP officer in Mitrovica? Is that something new, what was not known before? NO
They are, actually, there since 1999, never went back to Serbia, but acted under cover as civilians. Serbs living in Mitrovica are proud of them. I know this because I live in Mitrovica, and actually know some of them personally.
If someone thinks that this is god, I must disappoint them, because, as far I know, many of the MUP officers that were working during the Milosevic time were criminals that were released from prison under the condition to become MUP officers serving in Kosova. My question is; will criminals do any good to its own people. NO!

Every time UNMIK and KFOR under the NATO-US-EU umbrella beat up Serbian citizens and evict them from their own courts because it is expected that Serbs, Roma, Gorani, Others are to bow to KLA separtist false, illegal, illegitimate government, it gives REASON for the electorate in Serbia to vote against joining European Union. If this umbrella is beating up Serbian citizens now, imagine what they can do after Serbia's SIGNATURE!

Keep it up Serbia just what the world needs to see. Show your hand like you did at Dayton.

Again Kosova was part of Yugoslavia. Not Serbia. And before that it was part of something else.
MUP is a great bunch of innocent and law-abiding special police…The Serbs are always the victims not the villages in Kosova, Bosnia, Slovenia and Croatia.

You will never get peace from war. An Serbia will never own Kosova again, Ultranationalizm does not turn history around, and will never put food on the table. We need to look for the future.

Which red line? The one NATO crossed when it bombed our military, or the one NATO crossed when bombed our civilians, or the one NATO crossed when they bombed Chinese ambassy, or the one they crossed while supporting Albanian in destroying our heritage in 2004, or the one they crossed when orchestrating an illegal declaration of DEpendance, or the one they crossed when attacking Serbs in Serbian court on behalf of Albanian criminals?

Shame on B92
no single word, let alone an article about released Mitrovica court staff and their views to the event and experiences in the aftermath hours.
I read elsewhere the time schedule that looked like:

-troops enter the building and met no resistance.
-troops cuff linked everyone and ordered to lay on the floor
-after one hour troops started demolishing building and breaking everything ( obviously to manufacture the missing resistance)
????????????
Isn't this what B92 should have reported from Mitrovica, yesterday or the city bus doesn't go so far perhaps?

Resolution 1244:
3. Demands in particular that the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia put an immediate and verifiable end to violence and repression in Kosovo, and begin and complete verifiable phased withdrawal from Kosovo of all military, police and paramilitary forces according to a rapid timetable, with which the deployment of the international security presence in Kosovo will be synchronized;
(Rusty from Dublin, 18 March 2008 22:58)
--

Moving on to the next point.

4. Confirms that after the withdrawal an agreed number of Yugoslav and Serb military and police personnel will be permitted to return to Kosovo to perform the functions in accordance with annex 2;

It seems there is more authority in 1244 for Serbian police to be in Kosovo than for the illegal EU force.

Tom O'Donoghue

The K-Albanians and their sympathisers on this site perform the most amazing feats of mental gymnastics.

The unholy alliance of the Albanians, the US and NATO tramples Res. 1244 into the muck, spits on it, and then the posters have the gall to try to use it as a stick to beat the Serbs. You guys are hypocrites of the highest order.

Zoran

pre 16 godina

The "Red Line" was the illegal declaration of independence from the separatist Albanians and their NATO cohorts. The P-box was already opened by the above and now they cry about the terrible Serbs. How dare they send in police to protect their citizens against invaders/occupiers. Serb police in Serbia why that's outrageous. To the Separatists & Imperialists, spare me your false outrage, it is the occupied that rightfully feels OUTRAGED, leave Serbia/Serbs alone and go back to your countries, your mandate is over!

"Serbian services have been operating in Kosova for a while; in fact, they never left the new state. Their sole aim destabilisation of Kosova and provocation of ethnic strive."

The KLA has never been dissolved and they have been actively involved in all ethnic cleansing and crimes after 1999. It is also very likely that the KLA and ANA are operational in the Preševo Valley, supported by NATO, and preparing some "incident" to discredit and destabilize Serbia and surrounding countries (Bosnia, FYR of Macedonia, Montenegro).

Rusty, check out the following from UNSC 1244.

Reaffirming the right of all refugees and displaced persons to return to
their homes in safety (has not happened yet (it probably only applies to Kosovo Albanians)),

Reaffirming the commitment of all Member States to the sovereignty and
territorial integrity of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and the other States
of the region, as set out in the Helsinki Final Act and annex 2 (the US/EU supported UID killed that one),

Reaffirming the call in previous resolutions for substantial autonomy and
meaningful self-administration for Kosovo,
Determining that the situation in the region continues to constitute a
threat to international peace and security (does not look like independence to me as the US and certain EU countries claimed and pushed for),

4. Confirms that after the withdrawal an agreed number of Yugoslav and
Serb military and police personnel will be permitted to return to Kosovo to
perform the functions in accordance with annex 2 (I cannot add anything to this);

From 1999 until today Yugoslavia/Serbia have fulfilled all their obligations. It is the EU and NATO that have broken the agreement that was signed by people who one can assume were aware of what they were signing at the time. You are insulting many people's intelligence here by telling lies that we can see through immediately. If Thaci did not publicly denounce his KLA membership one has to assume that he is still a member/their leader and he should be arrested as a member of an illegal organization/terrorist group. It looks like NATO is once again not doing its work.

bmrusila

Nonsense, of course. But we could not expect any better explanation coming from UNMIK and Sejdiu. Belgrade will always be the target for blame. Ruecker is trying now to pass his own guilt on Belgrade. That man should be sent back to Germany as well as that French general who is waiting for the natural death of the remaining Serbs in Kosovo. However, he realised that he has to wait quite long for the natural death of the Serbs thus this action explains that he was in a hurry to solve “Serbian question” by exterminating them for good from Serbian province Kosmet.

As for official Belgrade, Sejdiu sees its responsibility in now "keeping the promises it made during the negotiations", but also "in Security Council sessions".

I don't remember you had any negotiationMr. Seidiu. If you think of the negotiation between UNMIK and minister Samardzic , yes there was an agreement between them not to do any preemptive act before Mr. Samardzic arrives in Mitrovica yesterday - Monday morning.
This agreement was breached, seams to me cowardly preplanned.

Since when does the Serbian police have to ask permission to operate on its own territory? Remember that the KLA was supported by the US and Germany and that these terrorist were creating violence and when Serbia took action (which every other country would have done) they could not defend themselves. The West can claim anything, but without any proof all statements are useless and should not be believed. If MUP members are in Kosovo to protect Kosovo Serbs than that is OK by me. In addition, Serbia has all rights to resist occupation of its territory by all means. NATO and the EU are afraid of negative publicity if more occupying troops are killed or wounded. It sounds like the cowards are back, the same ones who were so proud of attacking Serbia from 10 km height, destroying mainly civilian and industrial infrastructure. They never won and they know it (just like the KLA were nothing but a bunch of loosers). I hope that these militairy people will realize soon that they are doing the extremely dirty work of many incompetent, arrogant, uneducated and dangerous politicians and that eventually they cannot hide by claiming they just followed orders. You will be just as responsible.

We Albanians know full well preset scenarios of Serbian Interior Ministry, after all, they were trained in psychological warfare and counter insurgency. Anyone who hoped for a positive change in Serbia will be left bitterly disappointed by this latest setback. Nationalist forces have still the upper hand in the administration and seem adamant to cause as much trouble as they can. Unlike other times, their involvement in Kosova will be extensively proven and demonstrated. One thing seems to be Belgrade’s main enemy at this moment in time, world media. Like with every semi democratic society when the attention of free media is directed at the regime all the cracks become highly visible. UN /KFOR/EU/ICO/EUPT all should be BLAMED for this tragic incident.
I would like to raise some questions:
Why on 17 March 2004 riots KFOR did not open fire against the protesters (Kosovo Albanians)?
Why KFOR does not arrest the so-called KLA/UCK leaders operating in Kosovo, which are well identified?
What is the rule of engagement of KFOR regarding use of weapons? Are they allowed to shot on the air?
Mr. Rucker, Mr. Larry Rosin, please do a favour to UN and submit your resignation letter. Both of you have tarnished the image of the United Nations.
Why you are coming to the public, saying that the 1244 still in place? If you are attending meetings to hand over the mission to EULEX! What is the role of Mr. Peter Feith? Does he as authority to meet Thaci? Who are they to blackmail UNMIK, if the 1244 still in place. Should not be the opposite? The story of Kosovo has been like this since 1999.

NO!

Why were these people released?
Why are VETEVENDOSJE! activist shot in the head dead wherease Serbs are let go free? This UNMIK administration is a waste. The Kosovar-Serbs make up almost 5% of the minority and the only people treated equally is the Serbs..there are other minorities in Kosova. There are 6 stars, not 1.

First of all shame on Serbs, they want resolution 1244 to stay in effect and now they are killing UNMIK police who are in Kosovo to protect this so called resolution.
If MUP were in the court yesterday that is a clear fact that Serbia is behind all this. This is a real "serbian democracy".

Serbian services have been operating in Kosova for a while; in fact, they never left the new state. Their sole aim destabilisation of Kosova and provocation of ethnic strive. Everyone must think that this is another big miscalculation by the political clique in Belgrade and yet again real people with real lives are caught in the middle. Belgrade instigation seems to have no limits or scruples for that matter.

You will be just as responsible.

bmrusila

pre 16 godina

Nonsense, of course. But we could not expect any better explanation coming from UNMIK and Sejdiu. Belgrade will always be the target for blame. Ruecker is trying now to pass his own guilt on Belgrade. That man should be sent back to Germany as well as that French general who is waiting for the natural death of the remaining Serbs in Kosovo. However, he realised that he has to wait quite long for the natural death of the Serbs thus this action explains that he was in a hurry to solve “Serbian question” by exterminating them for good from Serbian province Kosmet.

It is very clear that NATO and UN troops started these riots by irresponsible use of force widely overstepping their mandate. The people responsible for sending KFOR and UN troops to Mitrovica should be held responsible for their actions. They started the violence which caused the death of a Ukrainian brother and they shot an unarmed Serb in the head.

Xavier Bout de Marnhac and Larry Rossin are at the end of the chain of responsibility and are the ones that should be brought to justice.

If someone can answer, my questions I would be great appreciate.

4. Confirms that after the withdrawal an agreed number of Yugoslav and
Serb military and police personnel will be permitted to return to Kosovo to
perform the functions in accordance with annex 2 (I cannot add anything to this);

It seems there is more authority in 1244 for Serbian police to be in Kosovo than for the illegal EU force.
