KS, you certainly talk a lot and seem brave when hiding behind NATO.

I wonder how brave you would be if you didn't have NATO and the US backing you.

Everyone knows that Kosovo is Serbian but for political reasons and pressure from the mighty US some countries have caved in and gave you some recognition. All this can be reversed and will be.

Resolution 1244 is still in force and unless someone can declare it null and void then you don't have a country regardless of what NATO does.

rolerkoster:

"and also, if members of the Serbian government were informed before the action on Friday "

Why launch the raid in secrecy at the crack of dawn then?
Why not make a public announcement of the time of the raid beforehand?

And why on earth do it on the aniversary 0f 2004???

Your speculation's & the excuses that Ruecker has been making after the event to justify the unjustifiable are laughable.

"For sure, the Serbian "justice workers" are to be blamed for to cause the escalation and for the victims on both sides, also for the Serbian ones "

Is hardly worth my time to refute this nonsense.

Are you seriously saying that the protesters, all of whom were unarmed, bound & in custody instigated the riots?

How? By protesting??

That is their right.

The one who truly bears responsiblity for this mess is the person who ordered this mission, & I'm not talking about Thaci.

Under 1244, The head of UNMIK Koachim Ruecker was under no obligation to obey any such directive.

Ordering in the troops in secrecy at the crack of dawn on the aniversary of the 2004 Kosovo riots was just about guaranteed to provoke a riot.

And guess what. It did.

albano & the rest of the pro-K-albanian camp:

What possible justification can K-albanians have for claiming the parts of Kosovo, in which serbs are a majority, and which are adjacent to Serbia proper?

Take your time.. know this is a tough question for you to answer.

Every country that disagrees with this statement I will pull out my ambassador and I will have my deputy PM walk out of every meeting in sign of protest. :)

seems like some Albanians really believe to have a state on the territory of the southern-serbian province...

well, let´s see... :)
(Jovan, 18 March 2008 20:15)

You wish to call Kosova a "province" but this game can be played on you, do you really believe you live in a state? As of right now I claiming serbia is the northern-province of Kosova under the rule of terrorist Jihadist directly associated with Al Qaeda, the Basque terrorists, and every terrorist out there.

Every country that disagrees with this statement I will pull out my ambassador and I will have my deputy PM walk out of every meeting in sign of protest. :)

These events are out of control for all parties concerned, Serbian, Albanian, and the international community alike. This is madness.

Over the years, from the 8th century to the present, Serbian and Albanian communities have laid claim to Kosovo. Can we agree on that? Can we agree that both Albanian and Serbians have suffered by the hands of the other and that both have rights which cannot be denied by the other? Can we agree that it has been our inability to compromise which has led both communities to this point? Let us exercise this demon that lives within our communities that truly brings out the worst in us. Who is to blame...we are all guilty of this mess, yet all our children are innocent! I love my children and you love yours, we both bleed red and mourn the loss of family and friends. Can we not find the humanity within to stop this once and for all?

We have two communities with opposing views and opinions, but we need to compromise and find a solution which meets the basic rights of both. We need to separate and allow a cooling down period which may take decades to accomplish. Perhaps we may become close and work in freedom together as partners, joined by mutual respect and understanding. I'm tired of seeing Serbs suffer, I'm tired of seeing innocent Albanians dying in Tirana for example, and certainly the Ukrainian Soldier who sacrificed his life doing is honorable duty.

Kosovo Albanian...take Kosovo south of the river, Serbs you take the north. Regarding Pec, Prizren and Gracanica..enclaves of Serbia with guarantees by Albanians/NATO for free passage and security..much like Berlin during the cold war. In exchange, Serbia allows Presevo Albanians the right to join their Albanian in Kosovo. Be aware, I certainly expect the rights for Bosnian Serbs as well as Bosnian Croats to choose their directions as well.

Once completed, we may join the various organization we choose to join..NATO/ EU/ UN, OSCE...whatever...we can and we must...there just needs to be the will and for someone....ANYONE...to show the olive branch of peace and compromise which both communities may embrace.

Albano,
If you want to send back these Serbs, do you also want to send back to Albania those Albanians who have entered Kosovo during the last 10 years ? It is nonsense; if you are first and foremost Albanian then go live in Albania, let the Serbs live in "their" Serbia. If you are Kosovan then live peacefully in Kosovo.

"BELGRADE -- Aleksandr Alexeyev says he fears that violence could escalate in Kosovo."

Don't worry, the situation is under control, and for better controlling the situation, those which came from Serbia, will be located and send back, so the serbs who live in Kosova would be left alone, in their new state , with full of perspective.

rolerkoster

“International soldiers and police forces overstepped their mandate this time. Their job is to stop violence, not to cause it, like in Kosovska Mitrovica,“ Alexeyev said.

Let's hope someone could inform this man, how the escalation came along since last Friday (fully backed by Belgrade, instead of calling the so-called "justice workers" for to leave the building) and maybe someone could inform the embassador of Russia in Belgrade, how the reaction was provoked by Serbs outside the justice building.

Of course it must be investigated, how this tragedy came along - and also, if members of the Serbian government were informed before the action on Friday and if yes, why neither the responsible ministers nor the president did not call for to stop breeching public order.

For sure, the Serbian "justice workers" are to be blamed for to cause the escalation and for the victims on both sides, also for the Serbian ones - and it looks like the embassador supports people who provocate violence.
