"Under no circumstances, not in a single instance, in no way will we allow space for the creation of any hooligan groups, whatever their nationality, to threaten public order and peace", he was quoted."

And this comes from a police murderer that became "prime minister"???

Albanians are belived to be the oldest inhabitants of the Balkans. Serbs occupied the Balkans in the 7/8 century. after few centuries the Ottoman Empire occupies Balkans and the Kosovo Vilayet was formed and existed for the next 500 years as a KosovarAlbanian quasi state under the Ottoman Umbrella. in 1912 Kosovo was given to Serbia and Skupi ( Capital of current Macedonia was given to Macedonians and Epirus was given to Greece and the rest of Albania was rescued thanks to the US president Wordow Wilson during the "Ambassadors Conference in London". Hope that answers your questions!

Civil disobedience is the way. Non-recognition of all illegal elements and non-violence will prevail. Sheer humiliation for the EU countries that supported the the illegal moves and their NATO guardsman

I'M SEARCHING FOR HISTORICAL INFORMATION.
About the time of World War 2 did Italy encourage the Albanians to immigrate to Kosovo?

Did Albanians eventually migrate to Kosovo in such large numbers that they outnumbered the local Serbs ?

Did then the Albanians take control of the territiry or country of Ksosvo and declare it as a distinct seoerate Albanian nation?

Is it somewhat logical to assume that it is possible and probable that with he continuation of illegal immigration of Hispanics to parts of the U.S.A. the hispanics will control and take over Southwestern American states and terrotory and declare them to be seperate Hispanics countries ?

Anybody....please reply with factual answers....thanks

You are almost on the ball my love.

As a former British Policeman in Kosovo. I hope and prey that EU, UNMIK, NATO, US Office and Others alike, will try to exert force on serbs in the north.

1999, west crossed the line, 17 feb 2008, west crossed the point of no return.

Enforce what you wish, serbs will prevail, push serbs and the farcical powers that be will fail. They always did and allways will, especially in my time.

In 2008, Kosovo will break the EU Common foreign security policy. In 2008, kosovo is more likely to regress into a situation similar to the mid 90's.

Hachim Thaci
is a thug that should be captured and returned to Albania. Thaci's political tactics should not be tolerated, especially on Serbian soil and he should be reprimanded immediately. How did this low life military dictator come to power anyways?
Was there a recent democratic election in Kosovo and if so, what party does Thaci represent. Other than criminal tendencies, what educational and political experience does Thaci bring to the table.
When are Kosovo's elections going to take place and will Serbs from Serbia proper be eligible to vote, considering they are citizens of Kosovo. I believe that 10 million Serbs would negate 2 million Albanians in an electoral vote. Why would 10 million Serbians want Thaci to represent them in Kosovo?

Poor Thaci. Trying to assert authority over land he never controlled and never will control. One might even sympathize with him were Kosovo not the lawless illegitimate land it is.

You suspect wrong!!

Crack the books (history) and you will see that US/NATO Depleted Uranium diplomacy has no chance. Turks massacred Serbs for centuries long before CNN and US existed...and failed.
Serbs will be the same brave, stubborn and honest people long after US implodes ruined by it's misguided foreign and rotten domestic policy.
UN does not exist any more and EU is a puffed up, self indalging fantasy which is doomed to mediocracy.
All along China and Russia are gaining on all fronts.

You suspect wrong!! Partition of Kosovo would undermine the credibility of the U.S, UNMIK, NATO,and the EU. It would also set a chain reaction in other regions of Former Yugoslavia that NATO, EU, UN and the U.S have worked so hard to maintain.
This is a power struggle that the EU, and the US are patiently resolving.
I commend what they have done so far.

Let’s see if UNMIK has enough guts to use the force against Serbs after warnings from Russia. The one must say them to get used to it. The EU chose the side and went on violating the UNSC resolution 1244, the one that they asked Serbs to respect. Well, once the law is violated it will always be violated. They were all warned that this will happen but still decided to ignore it. And war criminal such as Hashim Tachi should have no say and ask for any order restoring by the UNMIK.

If some of our Albanians on here could enlighten me, what is the "problem" exactly with allowing these people to work from their offices instead of forcing them to work from home?

I don't understand.

Kate

The UN does not have the right to use any violence against Serbs who refuse to recognise the authority of the provincial government. Their mandate under Res 1244 is to preserve the sovereignty of Serbia and react if the residents are threatened.

They cannot act in any way to recognise the UDI or as a tool of the countries that do. They cannot recognise independence let alone enforce it.

The declaration of independence may have been a good party, but it has not led to actual independence. The EULEX mission and the status of the province can only be legitimised if Serbia is brought into the process.

Back to the UN table before EULEX can even begin to operate.

I suspect that partition of the north and the A Plan in the south is what's going to now happen.

Or the entire province will have a settled status which Belgrade accepts.
