U.S., EU, NATO strongly condemn court unrest

The U.S. condemned "in the strongest terms" the <a href="http://www.b92.net/eng/news/politics-article.php?yyyy=2008&mm=03&dd=14&nav_id=48443" class="text-link" target= "_blank">entry of Serb workers</a> to the Kosovska Mitrovica court yesterday.

@Christina
US, EU and Nato issue a
statement saying that the Friday developments in northern Kosovska Mitrovica "directly clashed with UN Security Council Resolution 1244".

It doesn't. The UN doesn't acknowledge the declaration of independence ---- nor does it have power to null it. I don't care what the media says but UNMIK wants to leave, Kosova has become a huge responsibility that one slip and Kosova falls under radical Serb leadership and UNMIK gets it.

More bluster and spurious righteous indignation from the US. Boring.

Question: should UNMIK continue to employ personnel from countries that have recognised the UDI - surely there is a conflict of interest there?

""There is no justification for such use of violence which is a direct attack at the UN authority," the statement said. "

now, what´s that???

do they know that they make complete fools of themselves by making statements of that kind?

there is indeed no justification for the use of violence FROM US, NATO and EU on serbian territory.

and keep in mind that it is just THEIR conduct that is attacking UN Authority.

so, did they take some drugs when they wrote that text or what???

usually, we are used to extremely flawed comments by our k-albanian friends, but reading such a nonsense from their side - unbelievable!

"Slovenia also called for full respect of UN SC Resolution 1244"

Good, but first null and void your Kosovo recognition before speaking about 1244.

Just condemn, that is your democratic right, indeed. It is our democratic right to choose the way we want to live and with who we want to live and under whom we want to be governed. It is pure hypocrisy giving that right to one side while ignore and deny the very same right to the other side. However, calling on restoring the order with possibility of using the force won’t bring any good, neither Serbs nor Albanians nor IC. Trying to restore the order by using the force against the Serbs and their democratic rights, there is great possibility of opening a new conflict that may escalate in the war. I hope the EU and USA (I wouldn’t involve the entire IC in this mess) will leave the things as they are and accept the reality that Serbs do not accept to be governed by the Albanians in their own country, in their own province.

Why not condemn the reasons why these Serbs lost their jobs in the first place?

It shows these moribund institutions for what they are when they strongly condemn a protest of such insignificance yet are silent on the continued ongoing Pristina orchestrated pogrom against non-Albanians in Serbia's southern province.

Doesn't the illegal declaration of independence by Albanians clash with Resolution 1244.

Double standards once again.
