Let me set the record strait about the train,as follows:
The train was loaded with weat and grain, which was bought from Chek Republic and passed through Hungary and Serbia into Kosova. So stop this propaganda guys, because eSerbia has no control of Kosova railways.

Trade is good and free trade must be allowed.

On the other side, Serbian government interference and scoring of political points is a different matter and Serbs will regret playing these railway games.

It was Rugova's vision, it is our collective will as well to create a free society, open to Serbia and Albania. Free trade is good for us and for you and for everybody, but we must not play games that increase tensions.

The train can run and it's very good that it is running. The real question is who will collect the revenues...make a wild guess, but at the end of the day I bet Kosovo government will do so. They don't even have to go there, Railway authorities will do so...

lol.. you guys, why do you have to turn everything into a political battle. This is a good thing that trains are running it shows freedom of movement of goods first but hopefully people as well.
And the shipping of the wheat is a simple economics deal, supply meets demand. Whats the problem?
People dont care who runs the train, as long as things go back to normal and we all get along fine and we pick up our economies and we (politicians) look after our people without any precedent to raise ethnic tension.

Miri must be train spotting in his spare time, don't you know Serbian freight trains are made of pure gold? ;)

A question for our friend miri here. Are albanian trains even running in albania anymore? Last time I saw an albanian passenger train there were holes in the roof, graffiti both inside and out, cracked windows, no seat cushions. basically nothing that would distinguish it from a fright train, absolutely Disgusting.

"Sorry dude, but are you pinning your hopes in few wrecked rusted train wagons? That's the best Belgrade can do? Not that I blame your politicians, but can't you see how inert and in-capable they are to deliver anything?
(miri, 12 March 2008 18:22) "

I have travelled quite often on Serbian railways and I have found it to be quite a pleasant experience. Travelled Belgrade-Nis-Sofia, Belgrade-Novi Sad-Budapest and Belgrade-Bar and never had any problems or on any of the branch lines. Ice cold Niksicsko in the bar, top dollar.

In comparison Albanian railways.......

No wonder I go back to Serbia every summer.

This de facto partition is coming along faster than I expected. Rupel just yesterday mentioned EU negotiations with the Serbian province on Kosovo and the EU in general are talking about problems with their mission. No new recognitions this week and lots of problems in Georgia.

Is this independence drive losing steam already?

All they do is keep calling new election so they can re-elect themselves on and on and on and on....

Well well. Would you look at that. Who said that Serbian business had no place in Kosovo? We are already back coming back to Northern Kosovo, and it hasn't been a month since UDI. Wonder what will hapen in a year?
