Romania agriculture "halved since 2001"

Romania’s agriculture industry shrank by 17% in 2007 compared to 2006, says the National Statistic Institute president.

Poland is also suffering from this problem. Poland and Romania could be ranked 3rd and 4th respectively in the EU were their agricultural standards, regulation and developmental strategies not hampered by the EU regulations themself.

Poland and Romania should have joined EFTA first, then only join the EU once everything has normalized and they have reached Western standards themselves.
