Jealousy to wards Slovenia? Hardly - is only in your mind.

Was commenting on veracity of Rupel. And was only kidding about lie-detector.. any politician would run miles.. :)

But have no doubt Rupel is telling 'porkies'.

Get it out of your system? Feeling better I hope?
Good. So let's straighten out a few things shall we.

1): Serbia didn't invent the term 'ethnic cleansing'. Was a media invention. Actual practice has been going on for millenia.. by many parties.. including K-albanians both in the 70's & 80's, and in the last decade.

2): Combining the subjects of 'massacres in Yugoslavia', 'mass graves', 'alleged western media propaganda' & 'alleged victimisation of serbs' in one all-encompassing statement in an attempt to 'sweep away' the actual truth, while it may work in a newspaper article by some hack, doesn't cut in this type of forum.

Won't go into detail here as I don't have half the night to waste. Regarding Kosovo however, is one incident which encompasses 3 out of the 4 subjects. Račak.

As for the subject of mass graves, do take your concerns to the ICTY.. am sure they'd like some justification for all the time they wasted looking for such in Kosovo - unsuccessfully.

4): As for the issue of human rights, might like to compare notes with the remaining serbs living in enclaves in Kosovo - surrounded by barbed wire & protected from 'peaceful' K-albanians by KFOR.

5): Also, before you criticise 'international law', might be an idea to actually go & read the UN charter. Seems it was enacted because something called WWII happened. You've heard of that haven't you? Seems there were at least 500,000 serb's massacred by the nazi's and their allies, one of which was Albania.

And seems there was a K-albanian SS division called the 21st Waffen Mountain Division of the SS Skanderbeg that participated in these atrocities. You know, things throwing like a hundred or so young girls into fires to burn alive.. stuff like that.

6): And despite all the grief & suffering in WWII, serbs in Yugoslavia were willing to let bygones be bygones & go back to living with K-albanians. They even took in hundreds of thousands of refugees from Hoxha's brutal marxist regime in neighbouring Albania over the years.

Funny how now, 'freedom loving' K-albanians cannot abide the idea of living in state of Serbia anymore after civil-conflict involving 4,000 to 5,000 deaths from both sides.

And funny how they now talk about living peacefully with serbs - now that most of them are gone.

Yes. Let's indeed talk about the past...

To Another Canadian Serb,
I don't think Serbia needs lessons on how to ethnically clense anything seeing that Serbia re-invented the term ethnic clensing. Or maybe all the massacres in former YU and all the mass graves still beeing found are also "western media propaganda" against poor serbian people. It's amazing how everything that happened in former Yugoslavia is always someone else's fault and not Serbia's. All Kosovo people should celebrate all year long just becuase they finally cut all political ties with Belgrade and don't have to deal with their "superiority". And by the way, if the protection of international law is left to Serbia, China, and Russia then we’re all doomed. We all know how good the humanitarian rights record of these above mentioned countries is. I can bet that most of the serbian posters here never stepped foot in Kosovo. So thank god that at least some western countries and US are more concerned for people of Kosovo that some international law that can protect dictatorship countires. I don't know about you but I wouldn't want my kids to be raised in a society where the governments can kill, rape (body and mind) their citizens because they're not "equals" and the rest of the world has to sit and watch these "atrocities" being commited because the international law protects these governments?! I say lets change these laws. Lets build a society where lives are more important then borders.
Most of people take freedom for granted because they never lived without it. If you did, you would know why Kosovo albanians would never agree to live under Belgrade rule ever again.
(Another Kosovo Albanian, 10 March 2008 23:04)
Sounds to me like some more albanian propaganda. The west created one albanian state a long time ago. Seems like they are making a new one know. The A Kosovars don't care about international law and the rights of other minorities throughout the world. They are willing to sidestep international law purely for their own gain and without remorse.

Dear Another Kosovo Albanian,
well i have been to Kosovo.
It really is sickening when every article about the former Jugoslavia dedicates all atrocoties commited by Serbians only. Show me one article where a Croation, Slovenian or Albanian Politician has been charged with war crimes. Every article i read is strictly biased against the Serbian People. You seem to forget that Serbia was on the winning side of every World War and still she was forced to live and integrate with her enemies . Why is Serbia still forced to live with these same enemies today. DO you ignore the fact that Serbia is still the most multiethnic society in the Balkans today. You are disillusioned if you are going to believe all western articles demonizing Serbia today. International Law has no meaning when one strong military state can bomb another, all the while the rest of the International Community is left to watch the Shock and Awe upon Serbia. You Kosovar Albanians have no idea of what kind of lies are reported about the Serbians in North America. Even our former UN Commander from Canada stated that the wrong side was bombed.
So please spare the Serbians your request for goodwill and let them SEPARATE and or return to their lands.

It seems to me that Serbia needs to take lessons from the Slovenians, Croations and Albanians on how to properly ethnic cleanse a minority population without being repremanded. Serbia's neighbours are also Masters in Diplomatic Relations and therefore should follow suit.

I sense a little bit of jealousy towards Slovenia in the comment(s) above. Who would have expected Slovenia that two decades ago was under Serbia's thumb, now is presiding over EU.

The facts speak for itself. It seems that Slovenia itself set a nice "precedent" on what it means to cut loose from Serbia, a precedent that was followed righteously by Croatia, BH, Montenegro and last but not least by Kosova.

K-Albanians do recognize Slovenian contribution to the cause of freedom and have to learn a lot by this small but principled and courageous nation.
K-Albanians are hoping for the day that Serbia will be jealous of Kosova.

Maybe Rupel Serbia should send its police to Slovenia with out a invitation. Their are reports that of Slovenian bigots expelled Roma from their homes and the Slovenian government helped the bigots move them. Instead reading the riot act to the bigots and protecting the Roma the Slovenian government turned in to the same bigots all so. Your government also is denying citizenship to thousands how lived many years their and a lot are even married to Slovenians after the break of Yugo. I think Slovenia needs out side help you look very incapable of getting your act together and doing the right thing. It sounds very reasonable don't you think so Rupel just try to think past your arrogance and hypocrisies of yours ,Slovenia and of your new associates in Brussels.

"Rupel described its deployment so far as "somewhat complicated" "

Is actually very straight-forward.

Situation only gets only complicated if (a) you are simple-minded, or (b) you are seeking to justify something sneaky & need to invent an excuse.

EULEX does not have a mandate to be in Kosovo - Full Stop

The representatives of the EU in Kosovo do not have the authority to issue decrees to the people of Serbia - Full Stop

The K-Albanian Unilateral Declaration of Independence is indeed illegal - Full stop

Mr Rupel, here's a little homework for you. Go into your little corner of the EU in Ljubjana & read the UN charter, the Helsinki accords, & UN resolution 1244 - then come back & tell the serbs EXACTLY what your excuses are for these actions - while hooked up to a 'lie-detector'.

Will then see who is telling the truth :)
