Putin: Recognition encourages separatism

Very often the most fatal things in the history of the whole mankind started in Yugoslavia or Serbia. This time it's not so much a Kosovo violation but an attempt to establish new rules in the world. Very bad and dangerous rules based only on military power. One have to recall that the English word CANON originally comes from CANNON i.e. the law has been established by those with more guns.

Thus Russia's efforts to stop the Kosovo violations is not only an attempt to help the most friendly nation in Europe but as well a strong trend to bring the international relations back to their legal route.

But because our opponents have neither conscience nor any brakes we have to offer them a price they are not ready to pay for the new bandit formation they are trying to establish.

You know the sun rises in Russian Chukotka 1 hour earlier than in Japan. So we are involved in many processes in the world being vital for the US and the West in general. Therefore I hope we can make them offers they won't be able to refuse. In any case it's gonna be a 15 round fight with almost no rules. If we retreat once again they will ruin us some day. We are not seeking confrontation. We has just stopped retreating to stand for ourselves.

Let me share my opinion with all the readers here in B92.

Serbia will never join EU without recognising the Kosova's full indpependence as a sovereign country. READ my lips about that. The EU can "forgive" or "forget" the handover of Mladic and Karadzic as they grow older....for Serbia to join the EU. The EU can also show "understanding" of Serbia's effort to fight crime and corruption and Serbia's attempt to reform. BUT I repeat WILL NEVER ACCEPT SERBIA without recognising Kosovo first. Now the ball is on the Serbian court. Kosova in the meantime will continue get recognisition from the rest of the world. If the Serbian people decide not to join EU without Kosova as part of Serbia there is a great likelyhood that Serbia will be isolated further while Kosova can overtake in join EU and NATO before Serbia.
We will what is going to happen after the coming general Serbian election what the future will bring mainly for Serbia.

There's a Russian proverb ONE BEATEN MAN COST TWO UNBEATEN ONES ... Besides the SU has not been defeated cause the West was too weak for that. The SU has just commited suiside. Russia was knoked down but not out ! Otherwise why should you fear that we can bury the whole world if only we like to ?!

The world has gained nothing of the SU collapse cause another demon has come. And today only Russia is capable to stop the demon. All the rest including China are just back vocals. And Serbia is one of the fronts to stop the demon.

It says a lot that the leaders of the two mortal enemies of WWII are in a picture together with flowers and smiling. The same will happen between Serbs and Albanians some day..

It’s encouraging to read your comment about the Kosovo independency. For the first time you admit that independency is an outcome far away from your aggressive language in the precedent weeks.
I guess the big bear of Siberia need more time to adjust the reality.
As for the so call “precedent” that Kosovo will make in Europe nothing has happen yet.
The Serbs are still in Kosovo claiming their benefits. No one is going and the churches are still there and no one is burning them.
Apart from some flag burning and threatening language from the unemployed Serbs in Northern Mitrovica the situation is calm.
Much better than predicted. Kosovo government is doing an excellent job.
There is no problem in Europe. Northern Cyprus did not receive independence neither the Bask nor Taiwan. So common, were do you see the precedent?
If it were to take place in future most certainly no one can blame Kosovo or make links.
It’s just too late now.
