ernie,

I can't believe you're making lame excuses! We're talking medical supplies for crying out loud not weapons! You guys are already starting! BTW, the FYR's you mentioned; there are no Serbs left in Croatia, as for the RS we don't need permission to cross the border, and who cares about the FYRM! Don't try and pass yourself off as a State because we'll never recognise you nd that's the most important, even with the backing of a school yard bully because one day they'll be gone and the Serbs will still be there! So then we'll see how resiliant you really are??

Brumsila,
The Serbs are the biggest smugglers in Europe and this is not just the cigarette contraband to the Western Europe.
The Serb part of Mitrovica is turned to a giant black market where you can find anything illegal from electrical goods to pirate DVD and CD.
In top of this the Serbs in Kosovo receive 500 euro a month in benefits from a mix of Kosovo government Benefits and EU.
They don’t pay any tax and they refuse to pay bills.
Even those who have a job do not want to work because they are much better on benefits and during there “spare time” some smuggling of cigarettes, will make them much better off.
So please spare the nonsense.
Pay your Taxes as anyone else in Kosovo and you can get the medicine even from Siberia if you don’t trust the Albanian’s.

Branko UK,

Thank you for sharing your experiences with us and your bravery to do so. These are the kinds of things that Serbs have been posting here for a long long time and as expected the Kosovo Albanians have been denying them bluntly. The good thing is that sooner than later this whole created mess will backfire at the EU and US and they will deserve every bit of it. It may be hard but for the time being Serbia and Serbs will have to sit out this hard and injust period. Why would the Serbian Red Cross need any permission to deliver medical supplies to Serbs in need? Thaci himself is responsible if because of this any sick person dies unnecessary.

What a disgrace! Can you imagine in your own country foreigners are telling you what to do? They bomb you, occupy part of your territory and give you orders. Truly unbelievable! I don't blame other nations for attempting to acquire nuclear weapons. Serbia should have done this decades ago.
(Ratko, 5 March 2008 19:20)

Serbia has an agreement with Russia about nukes (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russia_and_weapons_of_mass_destruction). All Serbia has to do is ask Russia and given their support thus far I doubt they would say no, though we probably wont get access to their entire stock lol.

EA, Arben,

Kosovo is still Serbian land. With this kind of treatment of non-albos the Serbian Army (VS) will get in Kosovo sooner or later and administer some order and protection for these people. Medical supplies are one of the most basic needs required by people, to be denied this is simply unbelievable!

So if international Red Cross comes to Kosovo (with med supplies), will they need paperwork as well? Or is this another case of special rules for Serbs?

What's the world coming to when the delivery of medical supplies by Serbs are blocked by terrorist forces in their own country right under UN's noses. Way to go UN standing up for human rights - Serbs have a right to obtain medical supplies in their own country.

The sooner this fake state ceases to exist the quicker sanity will return to this damned world.

Thought i would copy/paste from Newspaper blog.
I have served two tours in Kosovo with the US Military and I can tell you the following as factual:
1. Almost all facets and levels of the provisional government in Kosovo are corrupt. In fact its the worst I’ve ever seen and I’ve had to deal with some pretty corrupt governments during my career.
2. Supervised independence or even full independence will not improve the miserable lives of the ordinary people of Kosovo. Partly because of what I’ve listed as fact “1″., and partly because it will take decades of imense amounts of foreign aid throughout economy in order to bring Kosovo into a functioning state that wouldn’t need foreign assistance for its survival.
3. Ethnic cleansing is still a common occurence in Kosovo but, this time its the ethnic Albanians ethnically cleansing the Serbs, Roma, Ashkali, Croatians, and Turk minorities through intimidation and at times outright force. I have personally witnessed this on many occasions.
4. No amount of foreign investment will provide enough jobs for the amount of unemployed people in Kosovo. The only way for Kosovo to maintain stability is for the EU to open its borders for an influx of foreign workers from Kosovo.
5. Islamic extremism is on the rise in Kosovo. KFOR soldiers have been attacked in Gjilan, Ferizaj, and Prizren when I was there. You just won’t see or hear about it in the news. More Mosques have been built in Kosovo in the last five years than schools, roads, health clinics, and all other santitation project combined. Compliments of Muslim charities from the Middle East.
6. Mass graves of Kosovo Serbs and Roma have been found during my rotation and reported to the UN. Yet nothing has been done. Why? When we posed the question to our UN contacts in Pristina they replied: “During the transitional stage of Kosovo this would be destablizing. We’ll wait until there is a final resolution before we proceed.” All those journalists interested in a real story…start looking in around Novo Brdo.
7. The US Government along with key EU allies never had any intention of allowing Serbia a fair opportunity to negotiate with the Kosovar provisional government on the possibilities of a workable settlement that might have been permanent. I was party to a couple of meetings where US Government officials point blank told the Kosovar representatives that no matter what, the US will support independence and that going to these conferences in Vienna were just to give a favorable impression on the world opinion.
These are the facts. Some people might be outraged and some might be supprised however it really doesn’t matter in the final analysis of all things considered. Superpowers will do what they want.
Kosovo independence will do nothing for stability of the region, in fact, the opposite will occur.
The Kosovar Albanians are now joyous they will have a new nation but, when all the partying ends and the dust clears, all that will exist is another backward, poverty stricken, underdeveloped, internationally protected country in an area of hostile neighbors thats todays news story and tomorrows breeding ground for extremism and resentment.

Does this suprise any of us???

That what it is called STATE, if they do not have the right paperwork to pass the border, they will be controled, confiscated as every democratic state does, so the best, once again< is to coorporate with government of Kosova, becouse in this state, nobody can bend the state rules, minoritys or majority.

Bmrusila and Ratko,

Please stop trying to misleading the public anymore. It hasn't work for Serbia and it will not work anymore.
Here is not a matter of "human rights implementation...". You know that very very well as many Serbs know. The delivery of supply for hospitals.....it is just a provocation and manipulation to discredit the Kosovar institutuins about their "insensitives". If Serbia recognise the independent of Kosova everything can be solved with mutual agreement between the two countries. Kosova is not anymore like a house without doors. You have to treat the others as you want to be treated and that is valid also for countries I believe.

I am often critical of the B92 for being an obviously pro DS party rag,yet this story is not being reported in the so called independent western media.
Even though the B92 coverage is beholden to one political pary, it is still more free than all of the big western media outlets. This is why I will continue to read the B92 despite its faults

Excellent expression of human rights implementation. KPS once again exercise democracy and respect for human rights by withholding the medical supply for hospitals and pharmacies. I am impressed!

Who could ever thought that Albanians can behave as humans and who could ever thought that Albanians can run Serbian province independently. Each day they prove to be incapable for such demanding task such as independence.
