"It is shameful that, since 2000, the democratic government has flirted with this evil instead of putting it in the dock for the great crimes against Kosovo, and against the Serbian people. I cannot believe that it is possible to work with these people on Kosovo or on any other issue of national and state interest,” the SPO leader said.
I said that many times,Serbia should apologize first to Kosova-Albanian people, start behaving and later we could have talks about independence, autonomy, partition or whatever.
I'm sure he'll be labeled fro Serb camp as puppet of west by talking in this language, nothing new anyway.

RE: The Serbian Renewal Movement (SPO) leader and former foreign minister told B92 that the Serb Radical Party (SRS) and Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) leaders had favored the bombing and destruction of Serbia over giving Kosovo substantial autonomy in Rambouillet in 1999.

It pains me to remind Mr.Draskovic that he was not only a member of Milosevic government but also supported the rejection of the Rambouillet ultimatim.

Again, this piece of document was threating the sovereignty of Yugoslavia and was the only decision Yugoslavia was left with.

Drašković is a funny character. When he's completely out of power, he comes off as the most pro-Western, pro-democratic figure in Serbia. When he's in power, he forms coalitions with the SPS and abandons his democratic partners for the sake of his own party.

Remember it was Drašković's SPO that chose not to work with DOS in 2000.

Man, this guy does not know what he is talking about. How on earth can he mention Rambouillet? That treaty was designed to make us reject it, because it basically offered to give up our sovereignty. Under this ultimatum NATO forces and personnel were to have unrestrained access to all of Yugoslavia, unfettered use of its airports, rails, ports, telecommunication services, and airwaves, all free of cost and immune from any jurisdiction by Yugoslav authorities. NATO would also have the option to modify for its own use all of Yugoslavia's infrastructure including roads, bridges, tunnels, buildings, and utility systems. In effect, not just Kosovo but all of Yugoslavia was to be subjected to an extraterritoriality tantamount to outright colonial occupation.

So the real question is does Draskovic know anything about what happened, or does he know and want bad for us on purpose? At any rate, we did offer a counter proposal which offered much autonomy for the albanians, as well as an international, not only NATO peacekeeping force. The western powers outright rejected this. They did not want peace. We did.

Oh, I feel this man would like to gain some political points over Kosovo. I agree that Serbs belong to those people that easily forget and therefore I will refresh his memory a bit. That famous Rambouillet did include substantial autonomy indeed, but what Vuk intentionally forgets to say is that besides that substantial autonomy, Rambouillet included autonomy for some period of time with possibility of holding the referendum on independence only in Serbian province in Kosovo and Metohija. That is why we were bombed, because we did not agree on that.

"The SPO leader wondered who was responsible for declaring some of Serbia’s greatest historical allies as enemies, and said that his party would fight “for Serbia to stay where it belongs – as a part of Western civilization.” "

- "historical allies" who betrayed the legitamate Government of Kingdom of Yugoslavia in 1944 when it signed away The Kingdom of Yugoslavia to the tyranny of communism! The same "allies" who in ramboillet (when Draskovic was in coalition with Milosevic at the time) that these "allies" expected the total submission of Serbia and it's complete occupation otherwise it would wage war which it did with the largest bombardment not seen since the second world war!

Draskovic betrays his 'apparent' pro-monarchist roots when he fails to comprehend real allies from foes in todays tumultuous and ever rapidly changing multi-polar global geo-politics where those who said they stood for freedom and democracy today believe it can be done through the barrel of a gun! Draskovic clearly fails to comprehend the following;

"At first we were confused. The East thought that we were West, while the West considered us to be East. Some of us misunderstood our place in the clash of currents, so they cried that we belong to neither side- and others that we belong exclusively to one side or the other. But I tell you, Irenaeus, we are doomed by fate to be the East in the West and the West in the East, to acknowledge only heavenly Jerusalem beyond us, and here on earth--no one." - St. Sava to Irenaeus, 13th century

He said that he did not understand why the SPS, the SRS and the Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) insisted on a parliamentary resolution which stated that Kosovo could only become an EU member with Serbia as a constituent part, when the preamble to the Union’s association agreement with Serbia already stated as much.
--

In that case does it really matter if they put the resolution forward? Isn't it just reinforcing what is already agreed? This simply avoids traps that the EU will undoubtably set.

It means that Kosovo will only ever become part of the EU as a constituent part of Serbia!

If the Albanians ever desire to be EU members, they will have to negotiate a settlement with Serbia.

After these 40 odd countries prepared to recognise Kosovo have done so and the reality of this quasi and illegal entity hits the Albanians, there will be no other choice.

But it will take some time to get to that realisation. Give it a few years and all will be clear.

This is just the beginning of a new chapter and this resolution will block the US/EU plan - watch how angry they get if it goes through.
