This is like saying to a wife you beat every day that she should love you, and if she doesn't you will beat her more. Why would any Serbian with two digit IQ see EU as a friendly union?

As far as I'm aware, Serbia with its two provinces of Vojvodina and Kosovo has already confirm its wish for EU integration and good relations with all of our neighbours - Albania, Montenegro, Makedonija, Croatia, BiH, Romania, Bulgaria and Hungary.

As soon as a country signs the Brussels EU documents your country comes under Brussels control and self serving dictates of the EU. The Brussels EU talks of reforms to their liking and to its advantage not you country's. Also of communications one way they will talk down to your countries and people they are not interested in your opinion only theirs and your implantation of them pronto. Also of providing security to their self serving missions legal or not its not up to you to decide. It was decided by Brussels and by their say so it is the law not your parliaments laws or your peoples opinion they ain't interested. Only in there laws or made up rules to their self serving programs of Brussels and how you implement their dictates. They say EC will use all the instruments at its disposal to drastically accelerate democratic reforms so called. In Brussels opinion non of you are democratic but by their hypocritical standards and practice neither is Brussels they delusionaly think they are. Brussels uses coersion ,threats ,intimidation made up rules or anything else they can to get your country's to do Brussel biding. Of course it is very important no independent politicians only Brussels approved appointed EU blind lackeys.
Of the utmost importance to progress towards the EU is “the implementation of the Stabilization and Association Agreement (SAA).” Once it is signed Brussels runs your country as a colony and its policies take over and your parliaments become rubber stamps to dictates from Brussels. Threw its technocrats and has been retreaded last gasp to power politicians how own everything to Brussels. This is a one of the good examples I'm talking of from the donkeys own mouth named EU Brussels.

You are absolutely right . Once the EU takes over , Serbia will be a Police state , where the press will be totally muted and only the trivia will be in the front page . The secret police here in Italy is everywhere , especially bars, restaurants and they have a huge numbers of collaborators or spotters .
The secret police can gangstalk people and subject them to years of Psycological operations for the purpose of perverting the course of justice . There is no mechanism to appeal or complain . The EU Human Rights
Commission is totally politized and ignores Human Rights abuses in the EU but concentrates , for polical reason ,on human rights abuses of other European nation that do not belong to the corrupt

Things might change then in the EU . But politicians in the EU cannot be trusted to look after the interest of Europe , we have seen that with the engineered distrucion of old Jugoslavia .

If the people of this monolitic borg-hive of neo-liberalism ever gets their say about drastic changes to their every day life, it´s neglected by the EUrocrats if it´s not to their (and the bankers) liking. So you must vote again and again until it gets the desired results.

I think the EU should be blaming itself for its mistake with regards to the Kosovo issue, what it has done is gone through with a decision where there is no unity necessary on Kosovo, that those states that want to recognize it can do so and those that don't won't.

Hence now we have the problem that you have EU countries like Germany, France, the UK, Italy, Poland, Netherlands, Sweden, Belgium, Austria, Denmark, Latvia, Estonia and Luxembourg that have recognized it, countries like Spain, Romania, Greece, Slovakia and Cyrpus that will never recognize it and the rest who are either in the process of recognizing it or undecided on the issue.

What kind of union is this?

The flaw in this logic is that they require a decision from Belgrade when they, in fact, have not solved the Kosovo issue holistically and coherently. How now is Belgrade expected to react when some EU states recognize Serbia and Kosovo as separate and some EU states only recognize Serbia?

With this approach, the EU is actually failing both Serbia and Kosovo when it comes to integration, because many states have damaged their relations by individually recognizing Kosovo and thus, alienating Serbia, but those states that won't recognize Kosovo independence will also not acknowledge EU membership.

Belgrade should be the one asking the EU on a definite answer when it comes to Kosovo and EU membership, not the other way around.

Is everybody forgetting the little fact that Mladic and Karadzic are Bosnias problem? They fought in Republic of Srpska which still is part of Bosnia. When then Republic of Srpska becomes part of Serbia, then Mladic and Karadzic will become Serbias problem! Until then the Bosnian path to EU should be blocked, not the Serbian.

Olf, you are right, I agree completely. World is big place. Serbia does not have to accept dictates of US and EU. We will cooperate and trade globally, with any friendly country, in mutual interest.
