“My presence is not illegal. But, it’s not a consequence of a consensus that we don’t currently have, nor the support of the Serbian government for our work. That’s unfortunate, and, to a certain extent, complicates matters, but I hope it won’t last long,“ said the diplomat.”

There was no authorization from the UN to put Mr. Feith in charge.
No consensus, no majority as in required by democratic process voted to place Mr. Feith in charge.
This is not unfortunate; this is illegal.

The more you speak Mr. Feith, the more you undermine your own position.

"the UN has operative responsibility together with KFOR to provide Kosovo with a secure environment, also in the north. And we’ll work closely with them to achieve our aims"

Well, even though the UN has not approved your prescence you will use them as your sheild in the north? I see you can pick and choose how the UN is to be used in your fake country.

It looks like a list of all the prior conquorers of Kosovo with a smattering of a few wannabes. Very strange and disturbing. the illegality continues.

It is clear that in many postings there is a justified anger and frustration with the arrogance and ignorance of Pieter Feith. I am afraid that this person will keep uttering nonsense as long as he believes he is relevant. Ban Ki Moon should order somebody to have this person removed ASAP (even by force if necessary) and until that time it may be wiser not to reply to any article related to this truly special case. No Albanians are responding to these kinds of articles, because even they must think there is something wrong with this person and in terms of PR he is not exactly helping their course.

Yes, we hope your mission won't last long also!

The US/EU can't get world support so they engineer this as an EU issue to somehow justify this illegal mission.

Looks like no one is buying it and Serbia needs to stay away from the EU until it can enter with the province of Kosovo as an integral part.

The fact that he have to convince himself and others over and over again about the "legitimacy" of his unlawful presence speaks truckloads.

Um, from my vantage point, Sipahi Feith, representing the EU while the EU does not recognize Kosovo's UDD (unilateral declaration of dependence), not having an mandate from the UN, and operating under the whim of 20-odd countries, is rather illegal.

REFRESHER FOR Mr. un FEITH ful. UNSCR 1244 article 10 gave birth to UNMIK and KFOR only. UNMIK has 4 sons called pillars,I-Police and Justice,II-Civil Adm.(gone),III-OSCE and IV-EU. A principled protest that deserves deep respect and support !!!!

If EU Brussels is involved their is nothing of the sort called legal or illegal laws. It’s interesting that you’re asking me about my methods, but you don’t ask about those who are behind all of this, Who is behind this EU Brussels law on to its self, genocidal oppressive Turks how are totally not neutral ,U.S. how needs and are depend on Muslim oil to flow to make up for major screw ups their and to pacify the Muslim anger. Others who need to settal old historical scores Germany etc. Peter Feith does not view the EULEX mission as illegal because his masters in Brussels said so and they are arrogant hypocrites they think they can stick their nose were ever they like. Operate in total lawlessness only rules that applies to Brussels EU is the ones they make up as they go along to suit them selfs theirs are equal and of course much superior then any other that is total arrogance the comes from Brussels EU.

The whole EULEX charade is just that, a rushed mission pretending to do something, it's a complete and utter sham! The EU doesn't recognise you, the UN doesn't, how dare you come in demanding recognition from the Serbs, when even your own government doesn't. Also, what co operation do you want from the Serbs? Your mandate is 'governed' by the Ahtissari Plan, what negotiations are there, the right of minorities to be respected? I just don't get what they want from the Serb side.....

Feith and the rest of Eulex should be removed out of Kosovo. They should be tried by a Serbian court in Kosovo and reconsider their arrogant and wrong behavior. This entire story will come to nought. And I hope that Russia and the growing number of U.S. conservatives cocerned about the growing influence of Islam in Europe will start to talk sense in this deplorable story. This time, Europe and the US, are definitely on the wrong side and I hope, with all my heart, that soon Euorope will open its eyes and apologyze not only to the Serbs but the entire Balkan for its policy. Appeasing Kosovans hasn't worked during the old Yugoslavia nor under an EU roof.

I get disgust every time this man opens his mouth. Mr Feith is being pathetic himself, not Serbian officials. Isn’t he ashamed to stand for and defend something illegal such as so called EULEX mission? He went that far by claiming that EULEX mission is not illegal even though there is no permission from the UN. At least he admitted that there is no permission which means that famous latter finally reached right address. He furthermore speaks about his legal presence even though there is no consensus. One average intelligent person must be insulted by his claims since he tries to undermine the entire Serbian nation.

Now, his nastiness when accusing the Serbs of using the “violence” is very pathetic when the organisation that he represents used the worst possible violence against Serbia by crippling its country. Oh, yes, I guess Serbs should be grateful this time because Mr Solana did not order the bombing! But he still does not abstain from the threats pointing out that the EULEX will closely work with KFOR and UNMIK, just wonder how when the UN consider the EULEX illegal as well. Mr Feith, who are you kidding, yourself, Albanians or the entire world?

It would be the best Mr Feith if you just leave the things as they are and better do not try to use any form of force to forcefully integrate Serbs into Albanian led society in Serbian southern province of Kosovo and Metohija, otherwise you risk the engagements of Serbian Army and most likely Russian. Don’t forget that every move so far taken in regard to Kosovo status was illegal, and literally every step was illegal.

And for a once, the EU should be honest enough to admit its mistakes to itself and the Albanians! What they created is just a huge mess and nothing else.

The other day, when recognising the independence of Kosovo, the Irish FM stated that this should not be seen as an "act of hostility" towards Serbia. Now Mr Pieter Feith declares that he means "no ill" towards Serbia by pushing ahead with the EULEX mission.

If I was to assault either of these men, could I plead in my defense that I meant "no ill" and that my actions were not to be seen as "acts of hostility"?

Some chance.
