The thing that strikes me, is that Albania/Kosovo region has the highest birth rate in Europe; yet the lowest GDP per capita.
I think that says it all...

It is impossible now to annul the recognition of Kosovo, what's done is done, there is nothing anyone can do anymore about it. All that will happen now is what I have been saying since for the last few months on this site:

Kosovo is recognized by some countries in the world with which it will develop diplomatic and trade ties, the rest won't recognize it.

It will be independent, but not a part of major organizations where there are veto holders against Kosovo's membership. Simple as that.

Similar countries to Kosovo include Taiwan and Palestine. Neither are part of the UN, but both are independent.

Faced with no EU mission, 1244 will be reaffirmed for fig leaf status. It will mean no visas. In fact deportations will rise, given the ecomonic realities in the West.

Recognition is the internal affair of the sovereign states. I am just curious to see how Kostunica and Alekseyev’s boss will “annul” the decision of the sovereign states...

Some people just don’t get it.
What about sovereignty of Serbia? According to you only Kosovo in this case is sovereign state.Last I checked Serbia is recognized by every country in the world. Kosovo is not. And never will be.Wake Up And Smell The Coffee .

Do you want to preserve the international order? Stalin's order? Then admit Kosovo is a unique case and go on your merry way. The cat's out of the bag

Suggestion to Mr. Alekseyev: Try to find out how to extend UNMIK mandate after June.

Everybody in Kosova knows that this the declaration of independence is a coordinated action with US, France and Britain. The reason for declaring independence 3 months before the expiration of UNMIK mandate was to harmonise with Ahtisari plan. Everybody knows that UNMIK mandate cannot be canceled because of Russian veto, but it cannot be extended because of US, France and British veto.

Russia must know that it cannot do what it wants on UN, since the United States, United Kingdom and France recognized Kosovo, and as the same way that Russia, they have nuclear weapons and veto power under the United Nations Security Council.

"We are maintaining good contacts and be sure that each future step Russia and Serbia take will be well organized," he explained"

That explains very well and clearly what Russian means by "respecting international law".
No issue to support an individual country but NO BLOCKING powers will be allowed even that "compliance with the international law" which in Russian dictionary means "compliance with slavo- orthodox interest"

It can not be sold any longer the soap for cheese))
