Alexander James,
If you knew the first thing about Bosnia, which you clearly don't, you would know that it was doomed from the start and has no chance of survival from the beginning. In fact, it is already a separate country. Just open your eyes and you will see it. Serbs will never be ruled by muslims and croats. Never. If you don't believe me, just watch. It's only a matter of time when that country splinters.

'Like it or not R.S. will join her Mother Land Serbia.Sooner than you think.'

Sure it will usaSERB. Just keep telling yourself it is so. It didn't happen in the 1990s and it ain't gonna happen now.

But I'm sure you're an expert on these matters 'usa'SERB.

And mrgud, if you knew the first thing about BiH - or the Republic(sic) of 'Srpska' for that matter - you would know that the SDA are not even the most influential Bosniak party.

I visit Bosnia twice a year on average and am amazed at the changes taking place especially in the RS.Many international investors are coming here, new roads, factories, hotels have sprung up. Yes ,there are problems to be solved but anyone who wants to come back to the RS can do so. On the other side all i see is new Mosques sprouting up paid for by Saudi Wahabi backers, people want jobs religion is what destroyed Bosna and the wish of the Bosniaks(sic)to be the overlords of the Serb and Croat populations. Sadly there is very little chance of this entrenched position ever changing whilst the SDA are allowed to sabotage every attempt to bring people closer together, they do this because they control everything in the Federation. You will not get a job unless you are a member of the Party of Democratic inaction(sic).

'Mother Land'? Tudjman talk.

I guess I have hurt your feelings by calling Serbia our mother land.Like it or not R.S. will join her Mother Land Serbia.Sooner than you think.

"It’s absolutely wrong timing for R.S. to do anything. Yet.Patience is a virtue. R.S. will join Mother Land Serbia.Sooner than later."

'Tonight we're gonna party like it's 1991' as Prince might have said.

It didn't happen then and it ain't gonna happen now.

Although only radical Serbs could dream of endless decades of international isolation for the sake of a few Bosnian hills rather than RS WITH BiH in the EU.

Lajcak says:

"Here’s not a single politician here who says that Kosovo independence should be recognized. Besides, there’s not a single country that’s calling on Bosnia to recognize Kosovo”.

Well, I get this from Lajcak statement:
Intl. community is divided over Kosovo UDI recognition, and very afraid not to create other similar problems in the region, inasmuch that nobody dares to pressure BiH into recognizing self-proclaimed independent Kosovo.
I don't think Dodik will change his mind (and I really don’t think there will ever be a leader of Bosnian Serbs ready to recognize Kosovo without Belgrade accepting it first).
Therefore, it seems that BiH (a very fragile state and very dependent on International Community) will remain on the side of "NO". If this will be the case, then BiH may remain, at the end, the last obstacle for Kosovo UDI recognition, even if countries like mine (Romania) or Spain, Slovakia or Cyprus may end up softening their position.

Bottom line(s):
1) Will ‘Big Powers’ be willing to sacrifice BiH over Kosovo, to give Pristina the much needed seats in UN, OSCE, EU, Council of Europe, IMF, etc.? This will be very interesting to watch.
2) Maybe today BiH remains united, but I believe its future is connected to Kosovo future: Kosovo may succeed and gain support from more and more countries, but I don’t think there will be many of those recognizing Kosovo who will see a reason to deny Bosnian Serbs their own country. Let’s face it: if a plan like Ahtisaari Plan was found appropriate for Serbs and Albanians in Kosovo, should be easy to do the same in BiH. After all, BiH is also a sui generis case, isn’t? God knows, it may even work better than Kosovo, without riots, bloodshed, violence, once all sides are pressured to accept the separation between Srpska Republic and Croat-Muslim Federation.

I have spent some time in BiH (Srebrenica, Tuzla, Orasje) in the last decade, and my impression is that people there are quite keen to live separated. Somehow, each community has managed to isolate itself from ‘unwanted’ neighbors (that’s was very visible in Posavina region, around Orasje, Samac, where Croats were living in ‘their’ towns and Serbs in ‘theirs’…).

So, Kosovo may not be, after all, the final chapter of Yugoslavia’s collapse…
