EU plans to "start deploying in north"

Looks like some kind of showdown is due.

The EU has pretty much zero chance of setting up shop in the Serb controlled areas.

A little bit of a struggle but then they will leave. Also that checkpoint at the provincial border will be history shortly also.

Russia in 1999 was run by a drunk who presided over a wrecked economy and impoverished nation.

Fast Forward to 2008, Russia has built itself up using the vast oil and gas reserves to take advantage of a global upswing in the demand for natural resources (oil & gas). It has the clout both economically and militarily to knuckle in and others should pay heed.

The EU and it's nations who have illegally adopted the "Dependance Proclamation" from Pristina have again failed to heed history in the region.

Archduke Ferdinand along with the Austro-Hungarian empire annexed Bosnia and Herzegovina which led to the formation of the Black Hand led by Apis or Dragutin Dimitreivich and the assasination of Ferdinand igniting WWI in 1914.

The EU is not trying to annex Kosovo under it's auspices and against international law. This will only incite extremist groups from not only the Serbian side but also the Albanian extremists particularly the KLA terrorist Hacim Thaci who will at some point in time demand real independance from the EU not the current EU protectorate.

As many leaders have expressed, the EU and US Balkan policy is a failure of diplomacy and international law.

Remember "the will of the people", Hermon. Gino, are you so sure or hopeing.

This would be a grave error by the EU. They don't OWN the world & should be reminded of this.

Russia must protect international law!

I think they should have done this weeks ago. Now thier job will be more dificult
