Solana: Serbia belongs in European family

Solana and every other person keep saying the same
thing
"Serbia belongs in European family"
they don't really mean this.
It is just the diplomatic thing to say. No different the the promises of EU anmd SAA.
It is time for Serbia to look at Russia because the last century of looking at Europe has only created demise to the Serbian State!

Looks like the recognition camp has stalled. I wonder how much arm twisting is going on in the background? Even those who indicated they would recognise seem to have lost motivation!

However, the non-recognition team continues to gain and grow! There are more than 60 countries who will NOT recognise or will NOT due to conditions (UN, EU or Serbian approval) - which of course is not going to happen.

Keep up the pressure. The protests over the weekend demonstrated unity and strength. Thank you to all those nations supporting Serbia and International law!

Solana should learn to keep his mouth shut. Currently he has no credability and by forcing in the EU into Kosovo, it has guaranteed that the Serbs will not entertain the idea of joining the EU. He would have to be one of the worst diplomats in the EU going around. High on rhetoric, low on substance.

I find it bewildering that Solana calls on Serbia to respect International law with regard to the protection of embassies. How he can have the gall to do so, when such flagrant breaches of International Law and Resolution 1244 have occured is embarassing. As a student of International law, and a native of Northern Ireland, who have not been without their own problems, I am deeply disturbed, but not surprised by the recent developments.

It will be far easier to list the countries that have provided recognition, seeing that there aren't that many.

In summary, it is the US and 16 of its servants. Along with them are some terrorist organisations - ETA and Tamil Tigers included.

The simple fact is that 175 states have NOT recognised Kosovo, including Russia, China, India and Brazil. All leaders within their region. Only one country in Africa and no Arab nations has recognised Kosovo. Also of significance, no UN or EU recognition!

You can shrug that off if you like, but no one is buying this attempted and forced birth of a new "nation". You only have to read the articles being written by the world press (i.e. non-US and non-UK media) to realise the deep concerns recognition brings.

Like I keep saying, the world is on Serbia's side.

Some kind of delusional pinnacle and you better not stray from it if you know what is good for you or else. IF it is Europe is in big trouble sooner or later with its belligerent elites attitudes which is total nonsense on the Brussels EU part.

Over the past eight years or so, the Serbs did almost everything the EU demanded from them. As a reward the EU recognized Kosovo, which meant that Serbia had to give up a substantial part of their territory. Shame on Solana and his associates!

It seems crazy also, the burden that is being placed on Serbia with regard to European integration when Croatia will be an EU member next year. This is the same nation that still has large white supremacist rallies.

Regardless, I just hope the double-standards can soon be ended.

The fact also, that Solana, under the Lisbon treaty will be the sole EU representative in foreign affairs and dealing with the UN is a rather scary prospect based on his recent wordings and I am not sure that I am entirely comfortable that he will be my representative, as an Irishman and a European, in the rest of the world.

Serbia belongs as far away from Solana Inc. as possible and from any body/institutions willing to vilate its borders.

Serbia is never gonna become an EU member, now having said that, neither will Croatia, Bosnia, Turkey, Albania and al other country's that aspire EU membership.

The EU is full, accept it and form youre own kind of EU.

And please oh please don+t sign an SAA, as the reforms that have to made to comply for the SAA makes youre company´s prey for EU company´s and that´s the whole idea behind the SAA treaty´s.

To make matters worst Russia has threatened to use the force yesterday. This has only put a stamp to US and EU support for Independece of Kosova.
