I would even take it further jeju. If Kosovo is finally independent and its status is solved why then do they need Re-1244? A little odd don't you think? Then again the EU would feel a little awkward with no laws to break...
The Kosovo state has already failed. Except it, no one cares for the "plight" of Albanians because they know the dramatic attitude most Albanians seem to be born with. I am astonished more Albanians are not in Hollywood, big legitimate money to be made there you know.

If Kosovo is a bonafide truely independent nation, then why is Ruecker demanding that as part of Samardžić's visit, Samardžić must meet with him to discuss Kosovo? If Kosovo is independent, why bother with the Minister for Kosovo...

Violence breeds violence. Let's breed peace. Hey, isn't yet the time to have peace and stop accuse each other mutually regarding history and other nonsense things. One thing is sure, your politicians are just trying to secure the warm places in the government, but if something weird will happen, they'll not be with you. Why dont you make the first step and apologize for murdering, ethnic cleansing and destruction of Kosova and build a partnership with Kosova?!

Olf,
How is it that the Country of Albania is so poor. There has been no foreign intervention and or occupation there in many years. Why are they unable to sustain themselves and feed their masses. Where as the Serbians have been fighting Foreign Occupation for many Centuries and still are able to Rise and Flourish.

Oh I do feel so sorry for the 'PEACE' loving Albanian population of Kosovo..TUT TUT! Don't make me sick - Albanians/K-Albanians are known the world over and to decscribe them as innocent peace loving people is beyond a joke! Next you will tell us how the poor, peacefull Turks are defending their homeland by attacking KURDS in Iraq. The West is in trouble - big trouble... Watch this space

Ha! This is laughable. What further evidence is needed to show that Kosovo has a sham 'independence' - a fake state given to the locals to buy them off and keep them happy. Kosovo is a protectorate, as simple as that.
(Jim, 25 February 2008 16:06)

Jim, at least Kosova has a protectorate from friends like USA,UK,France,Germany to protect her, while Serbia doesnt even have friends good enough to protect her while 15% was "taken away".

Is it right that the UN use German officials when Germany has supported an action that is not within the terms of the resolution?
Is this not a conflict of interest?

PRINCIP, i just wanted to let you know that before Samardzic came to the sovereign country of Kosova, he had to meet two conditions and one of them was that Samardzic had to distance himself from his early declarations about violence. So therefore Samardzic distanced himself from what he said earlier.
Kosova is independent alreaady so do not dream on any miracle.
Princip, I am glad to see you back here.

Serbs antagonizing Kosova assume that only they can push and not be pushed back only they can threaten and no one will take any action and only they can start world wars and no one else and somehow serbs and russians are invincible or immortal. I beg to differ.

Know your neighbor, know the truth. This should be the goal of Serbian ministers visiting Kosovo.
In the course of several centuries, under the impact of Roman, Byzantine, and Slavic cultures, the tribes of southern Illyria underwent a transformation, and a transition occurred from the old Illyrian population to a new Albanian one. As a consequence, from the 8th to the 11th century, the name Illyria gradually gave way to the name, first mentioned in the 2nd century AD by the geographer Ptolemy of Alexandria, of the Albanoi tribe, which inhabited what is now central Albania. From a single tribe the name spread to include the rest of the country as Arbëri and, finally, Albania. The genesis of Albanian nationality apparently occurred at this time as the Albanian people became aware that they shared a common territory, name, language, and cultural heritage. (Scholars have not been able to determine the origin of Shqipëria, the Albanians' own name for their land, which is believed to have supplanted the name Albania during the 16th and 17th centuries. It probably was derived from shqipe, or “eagle,” which, modified into shqipëria, became “the land of the eagle.”)
Here is our land, here is our home, here is our future.

" Ivanko said that Samardžić submitted a request two days ago to be allowed to visit Kosovo, with the goal of visiting several locations within the province"
Everyone is allowed to visit Kosova, given that the right background check is done and permission is given by Kosova's authorities. Soon Samardžić will need a visa to visit Kosova, unless he is looking for the job of Serbia's ambassador in Pristina.
pre 16 godina
Princip why would a Serbian minster ask for a permit to visit “Serbia’s Sovereign province of Kosovo & Metohija”
“Ivanko said that Samardžić submitted a request two days ago to be allowed to visit Kosovo,”
Because Kosova is a country from last week and all foreign officials need permission to visit it. Got it!

is this ahmet the same as the AAK guy? ahmet needs to know that kosovo can never be a member of the UN as it has to be approved by the 5 permanent members, then by 9 out of 15 security council members and lastly, two thirds of the general assembly which is 129 member states. right now they have only 17 countries who officially recognized and it seems the others have learned the real facts about kosovo.

mr isufi knows fully well that his ministries dont practice multi ethnicity in terms of equal employment and job opportunities even though everytime its albanian officials appear on TV they say so. a good example is the construction business.in every corner you look in kosovo you see placards of albanian construction companies in every building being constructed. it is ironic that even in serbian areas, you wont see a serbian contractor doing a project in his own ethnic area. what does this tell you? does the US or UK offices in pristina knows about these realities?

of course that he can come since he has put the request to enter 2 days in advance. Having this in mind logic Kosova is Serbia does not function. Why would you ask for the permit to enter a part of your land of course unless it is not yours.
