I would like to point out, two Russian reporters were beaten. This clearly shows: a hooligan is "just" a hooligan. Budapest had worse riots in 2006, it's still a country in the EU.

The INITIAL protest was peaceful & had over 150K in attendance. Too bad these people who did this to the embassies decided to go out & get drunk to destroy the buildings. There's more than one way to skin a cat & this is not the way to do it as their anger was taken out on Serbian property - what a bunch of lunatics!

Moving forward - ZK, you are spot on! The only difference between the US & Serbia is that the US is excused from bombing due to Belgrade being their target! (you think with all the technology, they would be able to find the largest house in Belgrade instead of hospitals with newborn children?)

Blero,
You're clearly a kid who answers with childish absolutes..
Serbs right for self determination is ignored, yet for everybody else, it's called independence.

Unless you are a Serb West of the Drina, you have NOTHING intelligent to add to the conversation.

Joe (comment 5), although you'd probably enjoy this scenario, the fact of the matter is....
In the larger picture, Serbia IS a EU country, democratically elected, has a cosmopolitan capital, and it has the highest number of minorities living in it's borders. Currently, it's just going through a temper tantrum right now..
But i'm sure that it's already been calculated into the equation..

Serbia did nothing of the kind. It was not even involved in those wars. Remember there are Serbians living in BiH and Croatia who fought for themselves. Sure, Serbia supported their cause but its army was firmly based in Serbia.

I think you are getting confused. It was the Yugoslav army that intervened in Slovenia and the president at that time was Croatian(Mesic). Again, Serbia had nothing to do with it!

Your history seems a little clouded! Perhaps you should give up smoking to clear things up a bit! ;)

ZK UK,

If Serbia continues these attacks than some countries will propose to expel her from the UN. Serbia start to act like Iran, a rogue country. To be a citizen of a rogue country is not the most enviable thing nowadays.

you obviously do not understand the meaning of word "tragedy." if someone in this day in age decides to smoke cigarettes for 50 years of their life and die of lung cancer, that does not constitute a tragedy. when someone knowingly does something they know is bad for their health and has consequences to their life, it's called stupidity. it's unfortunate that people die from their foolish choices but it certainly is not a tragedy.

If the US was put into the same position as Serbia, they probably would have bombed a few countries back to the stone age by now!

Just as Serbia did to Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Kosovo!
Right ZK?

The death is a tragedy and some of the violence is a bit extreme but given the West's attempt to take 15% of Serbian land, it should be expected that some hooligans may overstep the boundaries.

It's good to see the police doing their job but they were obviously overcome by the extent of everything!
