Dear Zbyszek

You must have misunderstood something. You accused the two biggest anti-nazis of being nazis.Next time read all the comments carafully including my other comment on this page
and then make judgements. What I wrote in my first is a very harsh warning for all Poles that if they support independent kosovo thay bow before german will.Dan and I simply sent warnings to indicate what can be the consequences .I mentioned WROCLAW because it is my birthplace and i do not want it to be german again. Many of my family members fought in
Armia Krajowa for freedom of
our beautiful land.Anyway I agree with the remaining part
and will sign the petition.
My best wishes.

Thank you dear Albanian friends of Poles for your wishes like below:

in 50 or 100 years Poland will have a western boarder with Kosowo ;( with capital in Berlin
(DAN, 21 February 2008 16:47)

Come on Poles!Be good slaves of Germans and recognize independent Kosovo. And give back Wrolaw to your masters!
(szemi, 21 February 2008 17:39)

Szemi! You could be right... that is why we care of You indeed.

I hope that if it happen nobody will hear and remember the name KosovA. Because KosovA never existed, is not existing and will never exist. Doesn't matter what is going to do the Polish government KosovA won't be independent country.

Kosova is going to be a "country" with "supervised independence" which means NOT INDEPENDENT. US and EU decided it that way. KosovA is going to be a n
ew colony of the West. Do you know why? Because:

http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=va&aid=8129

"On January 10, Swiss-based Manas Petroleum Corporation broke the news. Gustavson Associates LLC's Resource Evaluation identified large prospects of oil and gas reserves in Albania, close to Kosovo. They are in areas called blocks A, B, C, D and E, encompassing about 780,000 acres along the northwest to southeast "trending (geological) fold belt of northwestern Albania."

And please, don't wory about us, Poles. Beiier sign this petition:

http://www.obronserbie.lpr.pl/

Uli, I didn't make any resarch but I can make assumption that Poles know more about Kosovo then Americans. Personally I was in Kosovo several days but I have spent much more time in Gostivar, Macedonia working in hydropower station Mavrovo. At this time Albanians and Serbs and Macedonians lived as good neighbors. One of my friend, Albanians, who work there as a driver took me one day to his mother who lived alone in small home, high in the mounthins. She was so nice, she try to do everything to make my visit pleasant. Like Serbs or Macedonians.

But you know Uli, that Albanians treated their women in an unacceptable way from point of view of Poles and western Europeans. And you know how happy they were to live in Yugoslavia not in Albania.

"Poles wake up. Albanians are myslym that dont care about religion and sebs are Russians brothers that have killed poles on centuries."

I understand that it were Russians, not Serbs. But be realistic. That were not Russians. It was russian or latter soviet government. My father was saved by Russian friend (also prisoner) on his way from Gross Rossen to Dachau. Don't try to put the wedge between us as a nations. I hate Stalin as well as Hitler but either one represent their nation (Stalin as you know was from Georgia)

Aleksander, didn' the Germans (christians), many of them catholics slaughter millions of innocent Poles, Jews, Englishmen. Frenchmen, Russians, Serbs even some Croats and Albanians who didn't wont to cooperate.

And two first supporters of Kosovo independence, szemi and DAN, clearly display some sentiment to Nazi Germany. Perhaps they or their close relatives were cooperating wjth them during the WW II. Shame on you for such comments. Better sign the petition:

If Polish government recognizes Kosovo it will be a huge mistake. Polish public opinion doesn't seem to support this idea.
Best wishes to Serbian brothers. May you live in peace.

This idea of Slavic brotherhood is nonsense! Didn’t you Slavic Serbs destroyed thousands of Catholic Churches of your Croatian Slavic brethren in Croatia and Bosnia? Didn’t you slaughter thousands of innocent Croatian and Bosnian Slavic brethren during ex-Yu wars? Give me a break please! Ask Poles what do they feel about their Slavic Russian brethren. They still remember the Katyn Forest massacre.

Peter Sudyka

pre 16 godina

Another thing I don't want Poland to do is to spoil our relations with Serbia. We have similair histories and cultures (being Slavs), have had our borders constantly redrawn by foreign powers, have endured countless invasions and wars, yet we both survive today and are both proud of our histories.

This is why I sympathize with the Serbs and feel bad for what they are going through, but also one cannot forget that what Milosevic did was wrong and there is a reason now why many countries are recognizing Kosovo, considering what they have gone through. If Poland decides on Kosovo recognition, I hope that Serbs will not view us Poles as enemies, because it is the government making the decision, not necessarily the people, and Poland should really sit down and think what they will do (whatever they do, it MUST be for THEIR reasons and not for conformity with the EU/US reasons) when it comes to this recognition. I hope for peace in the Balkans!

Poles dont know the history of Kosova. I have a lot of friends from Poland and they sympathize with Serbia just for the fact that they say Serbs are Christians and Slavic. Thats not enough argument to support Serbia. I will suggest Poles to read more about Kosova history before they talk in here and also to compare living under Yugoslavia as living under USSR while Poles where "Second rank" citizens of great Easter European Communism Coalition. Poles wake up. Albanians are myslym that dont care about religion and sebs are Russians brothers that have killed poles on centuries.

As a proud Pole and Slav, I am absolutely disgust with the likelihood of Poland being part of this disgrace and injustice.
To our Serbian brothers all I can say is: I am sorry.

I tought the EU had given each of his members the right to choose. So Mr Solana, with your friends you have created a mess and now don't try to cover it on someone else's back because this is the reality:

Kosovo declared independence Sunday, but it's unlikely any time soon to become the world's 193rd country. What it will almost certainly be is a failed state, unrecognized by the United Nations, unable to govern itself, dependent on Europe for its police and NATO for its armed forces.

After eight years as an international protectorate and billions of dollars in aid and reconstruction funds, its economic prospects are grim. Unemployment is 57 percent, and among youths it's more like 70 percent; half the population is under 25. Small wonder then that its chief export is organized crime. It remains ethnically cleansed of its Serb minority, who only survive in the province under armed guard by NATO. And it has the potential of provoking a wider conflict as other powers try to work out just what to do about yet another intractable Balkan mess.

In theory, Kosovo has been self-governing since NATO bombed the Serbian province for 78 days in 1999, and the United Nations under Security Council Resolution 1244 declared it an autonomous province under U.N. protection but also confirmed that it was part of Serbia

Poland will eventually recognize Kosovo, this is not what I meant, I meant that Poland is looking into its own interests first instead of leaping into whatever the US does or says. I am genuinely tired of Poland's lapdog status, and I want them to come to their own conclusions. When they recognize Kosovo, I hope they do it because they trully beleive in it, not because they belong to this bloc and that bloc and because it's something that America said we should do.

Peter,
We understand that you want to look after your country interests but sooner or later you will recognize that Kosova's independence is the right thing to do.
Russia is trying to turn this something that stands between Russia and US. It's not like this. There is no particular affection for Albanians from US and West Europe. It is just that Europe has evolved a long way from ethnic wars of the past taking place in its ground and now wants to have a stable solution for the Balkans too. It is politically and socially impossible for K-Albanians to co-exist with Serbs in a near future in one state and Serbs haven't offered any solution on how this co-existence would be possible if Kosova would still remain part of Serbia. No one is going to give Kosova to Serbia as a gift.

Dragan

pre 16 godina

Poland should do what the majority of its citizens want them to do, and that is to not recognize this illegal and immoral 'greater albania' project.
The Americans and Germans won't like it, but who cares? The Polish government is supposed to be governing for the Polish citizens, not be lap dog to foreign interests. I sincerely hope that Poland does the right thing. They would certainly have most favoured trading status with Serbia if they do, which is the biggest market and fastest growing economy in the Balkans.

Peter Sudyka

pre 16 godina

I think for the first time ever I agree with Lech Kaczynski, we should not rush into recognizing Kosovo due to already strained relationships with Russia that we need to improve first, namely:

1) The missile defense system in Poland.
2) The Nord Stream gas pipeline under the Baltic.

Thankfully we've stopped blocking talks regarding OECD membership of Russia and they have lifted their meat ban, this is a good sign that we may yet reconcile with Russia.

"Sikorski evaluated his recent visit to the US very positively. He explained that Americans vowed to help modernize the Polish army, if the anti-missile agreement is concluded, adding that Poland needs "palpable evidence" that the US is genuinely interested in Poland's national security. "

http://www.polskieradio.pl/thenews/foreign-affairs/?id=76319

This is very true, I do not feel that the USA is genuinely interested in our security, rather in their own political aims.

I am glad Poland is starting to think for itself and thinking about its own interests too, not just running around after America like a dog after its master.

You must be joking me with that joke of a website...lol. Is that the best you could do?? The Polish public do not support you, they are with their slavic brethren, despite what their politicians may or may not do.

Poland should not be looking to anyone for help, nor should they be having trouble with anybody. Poland should try to maintain good relations with both America and Russia, and not pick between sides. I hope the Tusk government does this.

All have opinions and the right to expres freely what they think.Because of non informed people of many european or non-european nationals about the reality of "pandora box" has been created a draging-ideology far away from the truth. We live in the 21st CENTURY and still people are bait of religion or misinterpreted politics. My opinion:,-search for info to have knowledge and be able to have a conversation is like trying to read and select the best recipies and make a pie that i could really enjoy it.Im an albanian orthodoks and have friends of many nationalities and religions. When we do not agree about anything at all,we do not use the religion as a shield or a matter to attac and revenge.I also have a serbian friend that lives in Rome .We never get angry at each-other while talking about Serbia ,Kosovo or Albania.

When I thought Dick Cheney and his puppet George Bush could not do more harm then they already did, they are pulling this. I do not know whether it is ignorance or plain stupidity and disrespect towards anything that is not American.
As a proud Pole and Slav, I am absolutely disgust with the likelihood of Poland being part of this disgrace and injustice.
To our Serbian brothers all I can say is: I am sorry.
Long Live Serbia!

Peter Sudyka

If Polish government recognizes Kosovo it will be a huge mistake. Polish public opinion doesn't seem to support this idea.
Best wishes to Serbian brothers. May you live in peace.

I've been reading some comments on the forum of a Polish newspaper, www.gazeta.pl, and most Polish people who posted comments are opposed to recognition of Kosovo independence. Hopefully the Polish government will have some sense and not bow down to the EU or the US.

(DAN, 21 February 2008 19:55)
